Crusader_ Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 So maybe this is a pretty basic issue, but Lydia suddenly changed her behavior and is now standing in place and constantly initiating (her standard) dialogue every 5-10 seconds if I am nearby. I can't think of anything of note that happened right before she started this. It seems like it's on a timer since she'll start doing it eventually after I reload an older save. I'm 90% sure this is related to flower girls and/or amorous adventures since I don't have anything else that is tweaking dialogue, as far as I know. I am in the middle of doing her quest for that mod, but this didn't trigger anywhere that seems relevant to it. Â Any ideas for a solution or workaround? I generally have a high tolerance for testing/tweaking things myself, but I know very little about how Skyrim works so I could use some assistance. Â This is in SkyrimVR. A screenshot of my load order from Vortex is attached.
pinkfluf Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 hi  you could try bringing up the console, clicking on lydia and typing "disable" followed by enter key then typing "enable" press enter again. See if that does it, If you were using spectator crowds I was suggest using the target zapper spell but it seems your not using it. Oh and if your on Nethers framework you could try booting her and making her follow again.

Â I tried that (as well as several other console commands that I found online), but the behavior persisted. If there are commands people have ideas to try, I'd love to know. Like I said, I am pretty blind on the inner workings of Skyrim, so I don't know what is reasonable and what is not but I don't mind long troubleshooting. Would it be reasonable to try installing them now to see if I can fix it that way? I'm happy to try, but I wouldn't want to make the situation messier unnecessarily.

(That is, she normally just stands there and does it every 20 seconds or so, but this preempts the wait.)

As far as enable/disable this will not work as normal for this bug. Disable Lydia all together do not enable. play the game leaving cells a recruiting other followers after a couple of Skyrim day and fast through multiple cells do a player.placeatme 000A2C8E and talk to her see what she says she should be reset as Skyrim pulls off your recent save files so by passing through cell fast travel ect your recent save files should not include her.

However, resetting does little for a broken NPC they must be out of the pulled save file even then it may not work depends when the issue started as some issues compound until a NPC is broke it may require a new game/fresh start. Best way to explain this is Lydia will walk like a man unless you change her prior to meeting her if you change her man-walk after meeting her she will still walk like a man... why because the game uses saved files to load her and will continue to do so nothing will change that save for a new game. As stated see if the recent saved game files does not include her ( see last post method ) then re-spawn her if she is still broke then I'm sorry to say she is broke a will require a new game/fresh start as her save files is corrupted .
KoolKyle73 Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Hey man, I was just having this issue but I figured it out! It turns out this is an issue of flower girls so all you need to do is disable it. I know it sucks but I couldn't find another solution. Hope this hels!

Notapinguin Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Just in case other people have the same problem in the flower girl MCM menu in game you can restart flower girl and it seems to have worked for me !
