ZeeLite Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 So I just put this mod list together and as I loaded into the game I noticed the main menu ran at 10 fps, and when a got in game it wasn't much better at 12 fps. I tried disabling the graphics mods I had enabled but it made no difference. I know it isn't a issue with hardware power (I have a 30 series NVidia card, and a 10900k CPU). I am launching using the latest F4se, I am running LOOT anytime that I enable/disable/move any mod. steelpanther24 Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 I am interested in the answer as well since I dumped my ENB load out when it shot my FPS to hell as well. I assumed it was the video card that was the cause, since when I went back to my non ENB loadout, fps when up. HOWEVER... there are a few times when it will slow way down, but usually all I have to do is crouch and wait, though if it happens in a fight, I usually run since the lag will have little impact when you are running directly away (and in a direction you know is safe) . I noticed that this happens less after updating my video card drivers. So, the bottom line, I think it may be ENB, but always worth it to check the updates to the driver and to DirectX.

You can try disable all mods and check if it helps, if yes then you can enable some group of mods and test again, that is how you can find the problem mod If disabling mods dont help you can try run other game to test performance, if it will run bad looks like somethibg wrong with pc or drivers/OC. If other game runs ok you can try reinstall fallout and reset game settings

For GPU/Monitors that can run > 60Hz. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798?tab=f High FPS Physics Fix ReGrowth, and Vivid Fallout may cause FPS drops depending on configuration, particularly ReGrowth. You can also try turning your ENB off in game. Most have a hot key for this. See if FPS goes up. Some ENB are Frame Rate Hogs.
Samuraitech Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Also if you are running 21:9 aspect ratio there is a version of Looksmenu for this. DEF UI and similar mods may also need updating or tweaking for 21:9 aspect.

I have played dark souls in the mean time of the post being up and it runs at 60 fps, I will try disabling the mods and go from there. thank you Samuraitech for the info on 21:9 mods, I did not realize there was a version of looksmenu for it. once again, thank you for your time, and help.
coltontooman Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 im not sure what gpu you have but 8k texture , enb pull alot i have a 16gb 2070 and i keep the resolution relatively low you can also get optimized textures and de-clutter mods combined 8k bodies with animation i can see how your getting fps hit even if the card can handle that type of power doesn't mean there is some kind of restraint elsewhere in your rig a card can also be exceptionally bad at certain properties like shadow , god ray rendering , ambient occlusion , camera blur, ect .tweak the games gpu setting consider de cluttering and performance mods
