Navigating Staged Animations

I'm relatively new to AAF and whenever a staged animation is called up, it seems to loop indefinitely. Is there any troubleshooters out here who know what I don't?

If you are talking about that actors is a bit desync to each other (up to 0.5 sec), you cant do anything about it, only restart this animation and desync will be a smaller

It seems more like if it calls an animation with multiple 'stages,' it will never stop. There's a HUD on screen that mentions different options but no button on my keyboard appears to interact with it.

Should AAF have an MCM or a data tape? I don't seem to have either.

No, AAF does not have an in-game configuration at all.  It is done by changing flags in the "AAF_settings.ini" file on the \AAF folder of the mod.  I suggest using Notepad+ for editing this type of file.

You may want to check out the documentation if you haven't yet seen it, the Up-To-Date Adult Guide is invaluable for sorting out the install of AAF, Animation Packs, Reccomended mods to use with it, mods that have been found to conflict, testing methods, and load order.  I'll also link a google drive document that has further information on setting up AAF and testing it.  Be aware as well that the version on the Nexus of AAF is no longer the latest version.  The newest version is linked in the guide and just requires a free account on a different modding site.

[AAF Fucking Manual] Up-To-Date Adult oriented setup guide (16/November/2021)

AAF Guide January 1st 2021 - I don't have a newer link for this but it's still mostly relevant as far as I can tell, except it links to Nexus and not its new home.  I mainly link to it because it's an easy way to see what all the hotkeys are.

As for the stages, that can depend on what mod you are using for the sex acts, and what patches you may have installed.  For my game, I have both the UAP and Leito Staged patches, taking care to set them up exactly as the up-to-date guide specifices.  In the case of the Leito patch, there's an option to chose whether you want to have stages play through, or have the middle stage repeat.  recently it got updated, so when I installed the new version I chose the option to play each stage through and I've been finding that for the most part it is working, I no longer have to manually change stages.

Some mods may override this, though.  For example, Sex 'em Up plays animations for a short length of time and then exits.  There's probably a way to adjust that but I haven't explored it yet.  For Sexual Harassment, there's a slider where you can control how long the sex lasts.  In the guides above it talks about how long each stage can potentially be.

Hopefully this info helps clarify some things for you, apologies if some of it is redundant.

This was invaluable, thank you so much! I didn't know there was a patch for Leito itself or about the .ini editing for AAF. I had looked at that guide but I think I missed some of the in-betweening. You are a lifesaver
