AaylatheNord25 Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Alrighty, I'm not sure if there is a thread like this already, but my Oblivion used to work perfectly. I mean, almost flawlessly, maybe a couple of crashes since I bought this new laptop. Anyways, about two months ago Oblivion stopped working! I can press on the desktop icon and it begins the game and all, but then it crashes, without a message or anything. Since I'm not a very tech-savvy chick, I was wondering if anyone could tell me, IN EASY, SIMPLE STEPS, how to fix this. It would be a HUUUUUGE help, because I love Oblivion so much, and I would hate to lose the game.
gregathit Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Well for starts try posting in the Oblivion section. Next, if you want help then you are going to have to provide the information that this post asks for: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/11515-please-read-before-posting-here/ If you don't have any mods at all installed then you just need to uninstall Oblivion and reinstall it. Moved topic to Oblivion Technical Support Section.
Someone92 Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 In addition to the above install Wrye Bash and run the Mod Checker (not sure how it's called in English). You properly have deleted or deinstalled a mod/file that was a requirement for another mod.
AaylatheNord25 Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 alright, is there a link to the Wrye Bash? If not, that's cool. Thanks for the help!
Someone92 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Look at my signature or the sticky threads in the Lovers with PK forum: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/8893-installation-guide-with-lovers-mbp-and-wyre-with-bashed-patch/
gregathit Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Unfortunately you will end up having to use the 300 series if you rely on the Nexus. The 300 series is a POS in my opinion. The most stable and working version of Wrye Bash that I have found is 295 which you can find here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/oblivionworks/files/Wrye%20Bash/Wrye%20Bash%20295/ I recommend using the to one (installer exe version).
AaylatheNord25 Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 So, I installed the Installer exe, now what do I do?
Someone92 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 In addition to the above install Wrye Bash [start it] and run the Mod Checker (not sure how it's called in English). With Mopy\Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw you'll start it; you'll find tutorials how to operate Wrye Bash if you click on my signature.
