Can ask for sex but nothing happens

I was having sex with a named brotherhood character through normal dialogue (so not through whatever mod adds an interaction with characters without dialogue) and after sex they fell through the floor and was unable to do the finishing dialogue. I cannot have sex with anyone now. I can initiate sex but nothing happens. I thought saving and reloading would work but the problem persists.

I've posted the plugins i've got installed if that makes any difference but I figure it's some issue with sexout. If you need a version number let me know and i'll try to find it for you. Any help would be great. Kind of pointless to have a sex mod if you cant have sex XD

[EDIT] And now when I press the fire button, it's adding/removing an animation from the black list. Don't know why. And I can't go through any menu in the MCM.

You're sure saving and reloading to an earlier save (before the sex act) isn't working? That usually clears up this issue.

 

Otherwise, I'd recommend disabling the sex mods, loading your preferred save (NOT during a sex scene), saving again, and then re-enabling all your sex mods, and loading from that save.

I didn't realize I had the problem until a while after it happened so I really dont want to reload the old saves. I've gone through enough stuff that it's not worth it to go back. And I'm also not wanting to disable and enable all of the mods as i'd lose everything from those mods. Like there's perks in one of the mods that I'd lose out on and have to redo.
Is there any sort of way to clean sexout scripts and have them "start over" without disabling and enabling the mods? Or maybe a way to force the "end of sex" conversation with someone that might finish the script?

The reason we suggest 'start over', is because it is really difficult to fix it.

At start of loading a save you see some cios commands you might be able to try. One tells about ending an animation. You could try that, but I doubt that it will help.

Running this many mods (especially sex mods) we recommend to save often. If you were running a save on a "broken game" (sex wise, because the animation is stuck) then really you need to bite the bullet and load an earlier save when the game wasn't broken. 

I know its not the news you want to hear but there is not much else to be done other than the small miracle dborg mentioned above.

First of all, you use APOLLO Androids race and "Working man" mods which makes me assume that you play male character. That said, keeping TTWquestoverhaul and Breeder in your load order is not relevant as breeder and TTWqoverhaul are only for females (ttwoverhaul claims to have male content but it's mostly bland "seduce brainless playboy girl" things that you easily can have with Innuendo in F3 so no need to keep such heavy and unstable mod in LO).

 

Issue you mentioned indeed happened to me, but only with Spunk mod - it has something to do with actor being updated when you are on the "edge" of Wordspace cells and game kinda "lose" and unload actor ref bcause cell was changed. 

 

Your issue means that Sexout token is stuck in player's inventory and as result, Sexout think that you still have continouos sex. Thats why attack button triggers block/unblock anims. I n theory you could try to remove SO token and see what happens; I'm not sure if SO has continious safe-checks for tokens in inventory but it could.

I do only play as male characters so thanks for the recommendation. I wish there were more sexout mods for males.

I will see about the inventory. Hopefully this fixes it because I rather liked my playthrough and don't really want to start over.

Ok so I got the sexout stuff out of my inventory but it still doesn't let me have sex. There is an error message in the console though.

 

SexoutActRunFull: Aborting, actor is invalid, code 1.

On a whim I'm going to try to go back and find the NPC that this started with. See if that does anything.

Nope. So yeah at least I'm not getting that animation message over and over.

Oof. So I ended up doing a new playthrough and I keep trying to have sex with Arcade but he keeps disappearing afterwards when he tries to get up.

[EDIT] He's like turning invisible. He won't follow me anywhere. If I teleport to him, I teleport but to where he was last. I tried enabling him but that didn't do anything. It's like he gets removed from the game and if I teleport to him it uses his last spot. That's a huge issue.
