Netflix rejects VPN - need help

> We are legitimate users of both, Netflix and SurfShark VPN. Since our region has bad movies and series offers we tried to use other regions and found much better offers. Anyway, "seeing" us using VPN, Netflix is constantly banning us from those regions.

 

 

I did some research on the net and couldn't find anything that says how using VPNs on Netflic is illegal. I found out only that Netlix doesn't want you to watch the movies from other regions even that you move out from your region. So, I have two questions:

1. is the war between Netflix and VPNs legal?

2. If using VPN on Netlix isn't against the law, is there any way we can stop them from blocking us? (I have read several articles about this question and no help, I mean offered suggestions didn't work).

So Netflix decided not to provide service to customers wearing a mask . . . . . .

 

Is anyone actually surprised that the 'VPN Snakeoil' treatment is beginning to show it's flaws? I understand the attraction to using a VPN to 'spoof' ones location. I don't understand how anyone would think this was anything more than a band aid which wouldn't last very long.

Why subscribe to a cable channel premium service like HBO when you could just point a dish at the proper satellite (there were more than one - east/west coast and secondaries) and watch multiple versions of it? This was great for a couple of years. Then came the encryption, followed by black boxes to defeat the encryption, till eventually it wasn't worth playing this game and the satellite dish 'fad' evaporated. It's still a useful product, but nowhere near as popular.

 

I see VPN's as nothing more. so companies are now beginning to stop users from accessing their services just like websites stop AdBlock users. Sometimes I think companies like VPN providers are just a money making scheme that was designed to fail from the beginning once the natural push-back to their operations began.

 

 

I wish I could help, but seeing this reminds me how mutable the technology business is.

As far as I know, it has to do with copyright. There are shows in my country that (as far as I know) are not on Netflix in US but on another network. Like The Walking Dead. And there are show in my country like Brooklyn 99, that has only 6 seasons here but in US Season 8 (final) released a while ago. What happens is that Netflix gets the rights from those networks to show their shows outside US and sometime the producers of a show does not want Netflix to have the latest seasons so they can sell them through Amazon or Youtube. 

 

That is why Netflix doesn ton want its users to mask their location and appear to be someweare else. The only VPS I have used succesfully to change region was Express VPN. But you need to remember to log out of Netflix before you change your region otherwise they might detect you.

> it is true what you said, but we choose VPN for one reason - to unlock sites that were locked to our region. Without it we weren't allowed to visit sites we wanted. And they say Internet is unlimited

> SurfShark is very good VPN and it is classified as one who has fair connectivity to Nrtflix. Sometimes we can watch the whole movie before being detected and banned.
