Not sure, but seems like texture issue

Not sure what is wrong with nipples(textures are zoomed and misaligned) and hip weirdness (Bright slit near waist line). I had CBBE installed and then TBD. It was working fine until then. When I installed BHUNP then something got messed up and this happened. I  have removed CBBE mod (not installed at this moment), and now able to use TBD preset just fine but with BHUNP this happens. Any suggestion or help is appreciated.

Normally for such issues I would rebuild whole Skyrim SE mod list from start, but this time after spending 3 weeks I was able to get all the SL, SOS, CF and Animations mods to work perfectly without any CDTs or errors. This is the only issue where I need help and don't want to start from scratch. There is already a discussion topic on this forum similar to my issue, but I don't understand what was suggested as a fix?

I have downloaded Nifscope if manual changes are need to re-direct textures, but need some suggestion/guidance if that is possible.

Also, what sequence should I install, CBBE, TBD and BHUNP and what should overwrite who?

CBBE and UUNP family (including TBD) can't be freely swapped out.  The UV (where the textures land on the mesh) are not the same.  UUNP family meshes and textures can be used together with few issues, and CBBE body types and textures are fine to use with each other, but you can't mix CBBE and UUNP.  If you do, the result you are getting is what happens.

Bodyslide only creates meshes,  and optionally, tri.files (for racemenu)

Bodyslide uses the texture set from the dominant player body model

The way I did it so that my CBBE-3BBB player showed up correctly in Bodyslide was to install BHUNP first (I used it to convert several UNP followers), then CBBE-3BBB, and then I made sure that the load order was such that CBBE-3BBB loads last (overwrites BHUNP). I'd presume that if you were BHUNP, you'd do the opposite. For three models? idk.

For the Bodyslide work on the followers I just gritted my teeth and worked around the mis-texturing while in Bodyslide, since each of the BHUNP conversions meshes are exported to dummy folders before being dropped into place in their respective custom mesh folders, and since they each use their own custom (UNP-family) textures (which will apply "correctly") once in game.  This presumes they are not the type of follower/NPC that uses "player body" This is only for custom assets that have unique definitions

But how *could* you deal with this texture mismatch while working in Bodyslide?

Since Bodyslide looks in the /Data/textures/actors/character/female/ folder for textures, you could temporarily substitute an appropriate texture set into that folder for the type you want to work on in Bodyslide (after carefully archiving your dominant texture set), do your work in Bodyslide, then swap back out for the archived set (so your player isn't screwed up by using the wrong textures in game)

And always pick Bodyslide presets that match the Bodyslide body/outfit type you're working on.  And always make sure to check the "Build morphs" checkbox so yo can use racemenu on them later for fine tuning

Thanks @anjenthedog this trick worked, I replaced files from BHUNP mod manually to this location and now I have perfect body in game :)

I am very confused how you did that. Which files did you use?

For females, I can answer easily, but if this is for a male, I have no idea of the specifics as I've paid zero attention to that side of the equation. TBH I use a stock male with a face enhancer... dunno even what body type he's made of. Presumably it's similar... yes, it appears that there's a "male" folder too, and it seems to be set up similarly. Anyway... for chicks:

  1. Navigate to your player textures folder (ex: /Data/textures/actors/character/female for the standard player female textures folder)
  2. In this folder, create a new subfolder called "backup textures" or "my normal player textures" or something like that.
  3. Move all the dds files that are located in your player textures folder (files not including any subfolders) into it.
  4. Find the texture folder for your follower with the custom body that isn't the same body model as yours
  5. Copy all the textures (again, .dds) from that folder into the players folder /Data/textures/actors/character/female

This should do it.

Now, just open Bodyslide and work on your follower/npc model who doesn't share your body-family type

(making sure to use only those Bodyslide resources suitable for the body type you've chosen for the NPC/follower...)

Once you're done fiddling with it and have built your body or fitted armor/clothing or both for it  and have saved your new custom bodyslide presets\

  1. Close bodyslide
  2. navigate back to your /Data/textures/actors/character/female folder
  3. Create another subfolder called "my weird textures I have to use for <insert body type> followers who don't share my body type" or maybe something a little shorter
  4. Move all those custom textures you were just using into it (so you can more easily refer to them and more easily use them again in the future....)
  5. Copy your normal player textures back into place in the main /Data/textures/actors/character/female folder.

now you have copies of both texture types easily available *where you need them*, when it comes time to swap textures for work on one or the other...or for that matter, or a third, etc., without any fear of accidentally overwriting. next time you do work on one or the other.

  • /Data/textures/actors/character/female/my player textures
  • /Data/textures/actors/character/female/Yuih-Sha BHUNP alternate textures

Cool, thx!
