Sis_User Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 (edited) When using immersive first person view mod my character is completely unable to move if both ballet heels and hobble dress from Devious Devices are equipped at the same time. I just started the troubleshooting process but wanted to make a post first in case if anyone already has the solution. Any help or advice are much appreciated and thank you in advance! Update 1: While testing with other restraints I found out that extreme hobble dress alone is enough to trigger the freeze @w@. For a few moment after putting the dress on movement remains normal but afterwards movement inputs are completely ignored in both first and third person. I can still look around and jump just fine though. Edited September 2, 2021 by Sis_User Progress update!
chaimhewast Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Skyrim doesn't have a cap on movement penalties. If you have some other effect slowing you down, it's possible to be completely stuck in place. I know Sexlab Survival has a feature to enforce a minimum speedmult, but I'm not sure if there's any smaller mods that do the same thing.
donttouchmethere Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 As chaimhewast said! If your PC is already debuffed the DD debuffs will stop you in your tracks (need mods, SLS orgasm fatigue, DT3 debuffs). DD don't only debuff your walking speed, depending on the mods you have installed they also can reduce stamina and carry weight, which in turn will slow you down even more. Additional DD on legs might slow you down too. DD boots don't slow you as much down as the dress, it that case it depends what got equipped first what debuff you get. On my setup I can be stopped debuffs are added by: > DD > SLS > Apropos > iNeed > DT3 > removal of equipment that compensated for debuffs > SGO 3 > disease > Frostfall > NDUN cum inflation All those combined stop my PC in her tracks. You can compensate with cheat items that give your PC higher walk speed or spells or stuff like that. In DD MCM you can reduce the debuff of hobble skirts (IIRC for heels too) SLS and DT3 have also settings for min speed that can keep you going (unless overruled) 1 hour ago, Sis_User said: For a few moment after putting the dress on movement remains normal but afterwards movement inputs are completely ignored in both first and third person. The only reason you can move sometimes are the polling times of mods to check if the debuff is still running or between reapplying debuffs

Interesting, I never tried without IFPV (Skyrim LE). The DD devices that slow the PC down work with IFPV if no other debuffs are present. Only additionally added debuffs can stop my PC. I even had to rise the debuff for hobble dresses in DD MCM to get slowed down if no other debuffs are active (rare event). There seems to be some buffs added by mods that slow the PC extraordinary in combination with DD devices. In my case SOG 3 => time to birth or milk to speed up again NDUN cum inflation, press hard to be fast again Apropos => grab some healing potion or what ever you use for healing iNEED => time to sleep (short rest) SLS => time to sleep (long rest at a save place) if out of stamina => grab potions if overburdened => trade with follower or ... or drop loot : ( (and/or all the collected DDs ^^) What also can cause your issue in case you wear a blindfold: DD comes with various modes for blindfolds. One of it forces you to be in 3rd person to move, you can't move in 1st person. 20 hours ago, Sis_User said: extreme hobble dress that one extremely slows the PC down, anything that adds another speed debuff will result in not being able to walk anymore Did you ever check what effects are running on your PC while testing?

This is specifically a special edition problem. @w@ On my old LE installation I used these exact mod combinations and everything worked just fine, but not on SE. /_ \

I just hoped it was something similar with DD on LE.

It is what vexed me so much, since i never encountered this issue in LE >﹏< I find it highly unlikely that it is the same issue of other debuff freezing me in place since even in the same save without immersive first person view I move just fine in the same outfit that would have freezed me with said mod. Thank you for trying to help anyways though!(;´д`)ゞ 1
Flash_Shift Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 When you wear hobble dress, your max weight value goes negative to slow down PC. I think this is what prevents PC from moving in IFPV. You can still move normally using vanilla 1st person.

Yes it only happens when two mods are both in use, which is a bummer because I really hoped to use them together. I was hoping someone has a working setup with both mods that does not have this bug and we can cross reference to find the issue. (;´д`)ゞ
DeviousWolfLiv Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 i have the same issue tho ill mess around with the hobble dress settings in the mcm and see if i can do anything
brololo Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 yeah i just cheated my carryweight to a higher level to fix the negative carryweight slow down effect that way i was atleast able to move a bit
