Ends_and_Memes Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 What the title says, I'm using MO2 and I've set up FNIS just fine, had it working just a couple weeks ago. Now it only dumps scripts and tools into my overwrite/FNIS Output folder not any meshes... At this point I'm ready to try Nemesis because FNIS is giving me problems, I just don't know why...

The thing you are complaining about may not be an actual problem, or may be symptomatic of something that Nemesis won't fix.
sofzx Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 You can use both but just go with nemesis if you want a better game

Fresh install of skyrim SE FNIS and MO2. Even deleted my appdata/local/roaming/MO2 folder and removed any traces before I started to install everything again. Yet here's the thing. I'm getting the .hkx behavior files that usually show up in a meshes folder, being generated directly into my FNIS Behaviors/Meshes folder, not into my overwrite or fnis output mod. Even when I use fnis INI to redirect the output or use MO2 executable settings to write output to a mod, it still writes to the FNIS behavior/meshes folder. But the Scripts/Tools folders pop up just fine I'll check with #1 to see if it is actually breaking my game or not.

Is that correct? Running Flower Girls and Ostim as a test before I make my SL load order. loadorder.txt

At this point with 1019 mods I didn't see any issue with nemesis. Also the original author is working in an update. But for the moment creatures animations from this site are not compatible. I think the modder is working on it. I was using fnis + nemesis and was a pain running both.

Nemesis will be the go-to if/when it does everything FNIS has been able to do for half a decade. 30 minutes ago, Ends_and_Memes said: as far as #2 that's the weird thing. MO will only send things to overwrite if they are new or trying to overwrite something that is protected. If they are replacing existing files, they usually go to wherever those files already are. My point with #1: this may not be a problem at all.
Grey Cloud Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 1. Learn how to use your mod manager. 2. FNIS works perfectly when it is installed correctly. There are lots of videos out there on how to use MO/2 and lots on how to install FNIS to run with MO/2. GamerPoets and Gopher would be examples. 1 hour ago, Ends_and_Memes said: From my understanding Nemesis does the exact same thing as FNIS but is more updated/less buggy. Incorrect on all accounts. FMIS does creature animations while Nemesis does not. FNIS is not buggy in the least. FNIS is no longer supported but it works. As far as I can see the last update of Nemesis was May 2020 and consisted of mainly bug fixes. 1 hour ago, urbon said: Yea less buggy. Many, many people including myself run more than ten times that number of animations with FNIS and without problems. 1 hour ago, urbon said: Also the original author is working in an update. Leaving aside whether you are capable of thinking, what evidence do you have to support the claim about the modder working on creature animations?

Not have a source. Something that I read from the creator of True directional movement and Nicky. Also. I was using both. Fnis just for the creatures and nemesis for everything related with behavior and new mods. Both works nice but was such a pain to run both programs. So I just deleted creatures and switch to full nemesis. I didn't have a issue.

Fixed it by uninstalling all of my FNIS related mods then reinstalling them and FNIS. Been using MO2 and FNIS for a few months now, have a pretty good understanding of them it was just weird this time when I first installed. ?♂️
