Constant CTD on startup

Havn't played skyrim in awhile and decided to try and mod Special edition like i had the regular one. 

 so far it's been going poorly. Too many mods with weird requirements and it's starting to confuse me. I don't understand what i'm doing at this point.

What method are you using to install mods?  Manual/NMM/MO/Vortex?

 

If using a mod manager, is it giving any warnings?

If you recently switched to SE, check that you don't still have a LE BSA file.  SE really doesn't like them.  You should be able to narrow down the problem by starting a new game with a minimal mod list, then gradually add mods back in until you find the cause.  Knowing which mod will help a lot toward solving the problem.

After disabling and reinstalling everything it's still crashing immediately. However i have narrowed it down to something with the script extender. 

If i run the game without it i can get to the main menu. however even with all the mods disabled it crashes if i use it.

Chek if you have the wron SKSE version installed. You need tis one:

Well. It was the Being Female mod. Specifically the dll for it.

 

I now remember why i stopped modding skyrim.

I decided to just use a different mod. A lot simpler since that one as always a little too buggy.

Besides, now i have to hunt down a bunch of addons for sos. and a few other things.

God this is gonna take so long.

Keep in mind, that not all SE versions are in the SE download section. Some come along with the SE versions.
