A quick question concerning the Attractiveness System

Hi all, 

My question about attractiveness is: Is there a way to cheat attactiveness between 2 sims so that they find each other attractive?

 

The situation is, I have a married couple in which sim X finds sim Y basic looking, and Y finds X unattractive.

I attempted to change that using the UI Cheats mod, I removed the attractiveness bits in sims' profiles and then, using testing cheats I added the relationship bits "perceived as very attractive" for both. Unfortunately, whenever I switch between households or exit the game those changes reset. Is it possible to permanently modify this?

2 ways to do it, you can use both if you want (Both options are not mutually exclusive):

 

1- Give both sims the reward trait "Unique Appearance". All the other sims will find them much more attractive.

2- While controlling one of your sims Shift click on the other one. Select "wicked", then "relationship", then "attractiveness information". You will get detailed information about what your sim likes and dislikes in the other sim. Then you can change your sims attractiveness preferences (click on your sim and choose "attractiveness") to match the other sims traits or edit the other sim to match your sims preferences. Then you do the same with the other sim and voila!

Babuchas has a couple of good suggestions.

 

The easiest method that I've found is to click on one of your sims go to:

Attractiveness > Develop (sim name here) Preferences > Develop Based on Picked Sims

Then choose the partner. It's up to you at that point which mode you want whether it's Light, Moderate or Heavy.

 

Just repeat those steps for your other sim and you're good.

This is the cheat I normally use myself as it's the easiest.

I've seen instances in that it doesn't always work.

If two sims have very low attraction for each other, Unique Appearance doesn't always boost them enough.

Pretty rare but it can happen.

I guess it's just a matter of what level of Attraction a person is going for.

What I suggested is foolproof as it's 100% guaranteed. It takes a couple of extra steps but it works perfectly.

But everything that has been put on the table works.

Unique Appearance is definitely the easiest.
