Concerned about dragons and what they might do...

"""dragons are the replacement for oblivion gates"""

dont know why but i felt little angry when i read this.

1st. there are many different classes of dragons' date=' so every fight its different. every fight its cool. i dont know who mentioned about easy fights, maybe they changed the difficult to novice.

2nd. ull encounter dragons even in the middle of a town. so THEY WILL RAPE VILLAGERS. yesterday i lost a merchant/smith who was very important becouse he always had nice items.

if u get out to xbox dashboard and return to game the store keepers will change items.this is usefull, beleive, ull know why.

3rd. sometime ull see and hear a dragon flys over in the distance. but hell not fight u. this gives the game suspense and intrigue. if ur fast enough u can try to follow him and shoot him with ur bow, its quite difficult but possible. then, hell fight u.

4th. ull get the dragon scales, money, items and bones from the dragons. also the dragon souls wich its better than the lame item u got in oblivion gates.

5th. dragons arent cool... u have to be an obtuse to think in that way.

ps. u can become a werewolf. confirmed.

Anyone who says that dragons are the equivalent of Oblivion Gates obviously haven't played the game so their comment has no weight to them. They are trolls and it's best to just move along (or better yet, play the damn game!).

I didn't realize it was trolling to speculate?

These are things that will have to be judged after playing more than a few hours, to the point where you get into the replayability of the game. Again, when one read reviews it was all about the immediate "star struck" impressions, which are very real when you're playing a game that "seduces" the player with a large and beautiful world to explore. Not a single review I can remember pointed out the extremely shitty scaling for example, or any of the other numerous problems with the game.

Again, I'm sure fighting dragons will be exciting the first few times. But when you've done that several times and you just really wanna get on with whatever quest you're doing... Only to have a dragon drop down on you and force you to fight it out. How exciting will it be then? I don't think it'll be as bad as the Oblivion gates personally, but nor do I think it will be particularly exciting for the 15th time. I think it will be become annoying, and all the more so if there isn't any way to avoid fighting them somehow when they attack.

Vanilla speaking perhaps.....

However modded....not so much.

There are mods for oblivion that will ramp up the number of dremora spawning from the gates to actually simulate an invasion. Other mods add quite a few dremora inside each oblivion plane making it a real challenge to get to the sigil stone. Then throw in a few minutes with the CS to change all those added dremora to females and whoa nelly the fight sex becomes a blast (I play a male PC if your wondering why I made the dremora female).

If that is too much trouble there is a mod that with casting one spell you can close the gate (this is not too far a stretch from lore as it just took one spell to open it right..)

Now fast forward to Skyrim....unlike fixed or semi-fixed oblivion gates you have dragons with ai packages (man I really hope they are at least half as good as promised by Todd) that well......could show up anywhere (out doors of course) and at any time. Just too cool!!!

I am certain that within a short time of the CS coming out there will be godlike weapons and\or spells so you can make them bugger off if you like.

But would you really want to......I mean fighting dragons is kinda the whole real main plot right??????

dragons fight arent very often. i just killed 3 dragons so far. 1 for the main quest, 1 in a town while buting crap and 1 near a tower. it will be very difficult to find them, im hunting them and searching for one of them but so far only im not very lucky. also, i saw a couple in the distance but they ignored me and i tried

to fight them but i lost them.

i didnt wanted to sound rude saying that comparing the oblivion gates with the dragons isnt correct, sry for that, also i didnt read ur post till now, i was referring to [N]another forum[/N] from a popular magazine. there, most members say that dragon encounters = oblivion gates (and i cant comment so i came here). so my the post wasnt referring about ur info, sry for that.

in another topic, so far the game seems nice, but there are some things that arent very cool, ill not spoil the fun but im warning you that not all the features are optimized and cool. be aware.

AI sucks. Companions sucks as hell. they stuck everywhere and if ur a sneak/thief character, avoid any companion, even the thiefs. hope this can be fixed with mods. :D

While I am disappointed to hear this Polluxval, I am not the least bit surprised. FNV and FO3 were no different. I am guessing the reason they have titles like the "lone" wanderer and the "lone" courier are because they haven't figured out (your spoiler) worth a damn!!!!

Mods will likely fix this and even if they don't as long as the enemies are worth a damn I can learn to live with it.

On your rant....I thought it was funny as hell personally but I freely admit to having a demented sense of humor :)

sry but ull find it funny when ur a in a middle of a fight and ur outnumbered and almost dead just to see that the compaanion wich you armed like robocop and payed a high sum of money its walking towards a small rock in the way and cant join the fight. its funny becouse he dont make the small effort to surround the small rock, remembers me morrowind, when and npcs walk toward another npcs and they get stuck for some seconds. maybe they make it on porpouse so we can remember the old games? ha ha ha. :P
