Are there any realism mods for that game?

I started to install some mods that seem to infuse some realism into the game.

For example, Slice of Life, but seems to cause errors.

Also Personality Please and SimLoans.

But one thing i really are looking for is to have my female Sim to stay quiet during intercourse. Its really annoying to have a female talk during a BJ.

Thanks.

Audio sounds are added to the animations themselves by their authors so you can't do much about it.

I found something that adds a little more to the realism. Of course this is for gameplay when you want to come from a lower class of sorts.

So i am trying to create a rundown house with rundown objects. Not really easy to find things, but i am continuing looking around.

KawaiiStacie has quite a few mods to add more realism to the game in very different ways. As far as i know all of them are updated regularly. Also slice of life is modular, meaning that if a module causes problems you can remove it and keep using the others.

Well, my tip is to mess with the timescale... Sim-time is really weird.

For this you will need MCCC to set the age-span durations. Make them consistent. In vanilla childhood+teenage years lasts about as long as young adult+adult, which is absurd. I understand the gameplay reasons, but I found realism to be more important, so I changed ALL agespans to be consistent with the assumption that one sim-day is half a sim year. That means you are only a teenager in my game for 10 days (5 years, 13-18), but an young adult for 44 (18-40) and an adult for 50 (40-65). I also set the pregnancy to last only two days (the closest I could get to 9 months) and university to only require 8 courses so you can finish it in two weeks (roughly 5 years). I originally had it set to 4 days=one year, because then you could have the university last the full year as well as a pregnancy be 3 days buuuut.... You aren't meant to play a single sim for that long. Honestly even now my sims lives drag on unreasonably long. I have been thinking of reducing everything down by half again to make one day=one full year but this would seriously mess with the balance of so many things in the game. If I ever do start a new game I might try it, but for now I think I'm sticking to 2 days per year for the duration.

I've never really thought about the time span, though its probably important.

I never really finished a game from teen to elder and ultimately death. So the whole concept of how many days equals years passed me by.

Plus i usually slipped any pregnancy all together.

That would be a life drama on its own.

Though for more realism it may be something to add to my game play.

So, let me apply your age duration and see what happens. Who knew how short the life of a sim actually is.

Currently i running the game to simulate a poor environment. So that the house looks like garbage. I was downloading whatever i could find to make it look like garbage. Filthy walls and floors etc..

Sims world looks all posh and happy as Disney Land. But i want to give it a more realistic tone. Though, everything plays a role. Me, downgrading a house is also more a play and perhaps unrealistic in a sense.

Outside of buildings there seems to be no real life taken place. That is, until you character appears there. It magically fills with people to some degree.

It is probably due that the main audience is younger.

Recently i added some of ruBorky mods to enhance game play. A bank, a hospital and a funeral home.

But what is most striking to me is the zero difference between teen and young adult. It looks essential like the same. I am not even sure what the age is supposed to be for them.

Some time ago, i thought, i add Extreme Violence, as it had gangs in it. But it turned out to be a bad move since it let them kill anyone for no reason. All i wanted was to add gangs into the equation so they could have a career in the criminal world. But on their own without me interfering.

In the end, i think realism has its limits in a game like Sims. Realism can be very ugly.
