I just cant play the sims 4 anymore

I just cant do it, it fucking crashes even with mods, and I have a high end gaming laptop, I just cant do it. not only that but between ea and the cc creators I am getting wallet raped to oblivion, it was fun while it lastes but I just cant anymore, my patience has run thin, I am only gonna go ahead and work on mods only for the sims 2 and sims 3, I might make a ww for the sims 2 to update jokers wild cc. it was fun while it lasted peace.

Does the Game run and not crash without any Mods?

 

Did you try a Game Repair?

 

Did you delete your localthumbcache.pkg?

yes I ran game repair

yes I deleted local thumb cache

yes I checked my mods to see if any conflict, and are up to date/

No offence but did you make sure sims4 is using the right video card? most  intelchip laptops have integrated/ onboard grafik to save power i think ? anway most grafik cards have/ use a tool that can have different profiles for games if that has the setting for the wrong card .Same for energy saving if you dont use a powercable for your laptop standart setting want to use onboard grafik.

I meant does your game still crash with your Mods REMOVED?

 

If it does there isn't much sense in throwing mods back in.

I used to before the freaking update had up to 25 gb of cc with ten mods, and be able to run that bitch for like days, but because of the cottage living update, my game refuses to run even for ten minutes.

All I could picture was Samuel Jackson yelling at how dense OP is being.

 

 

Run your game with no mods. Is it crashing? If so, it's got something to do with your install or your laptop. If not, then it's one of your mods probably being outdated due to the recent update. No one asked how many mods you had installed.

OP just place your mods folder somewhere else for the time being, then launch your game, if it crashes again, then try making a new save and test it out. If that also doesn't work then 

pin point every mod which uses scripting and check them for updates. (Scripting mods as in WW, Basemental etc...

Most likely a problem with your computer hardware, drivers, or overheating.

Other reasons:

Bad Memory

Virus

Malware

Graphics Card Settings

Game Settings

 

I'd run some test diagnostics, memory tests, and virus scan.

 

You might get more help about game crashes at EA help forums or google search.

Since the game runs fine with millions of others it's something other than the game itself.

Yes it has some bugs both new and old but still runs.

If you remove the mods the game should run, Sims 4 can run on a potato. 

 

If it doesn't then you better listen to Scorpio here.

I would also try to reinstall cottage living if that started the problem maybe the update had errors.
