wilks82 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Hey hey people, wilks here! I finally got my PC hardware upgraded and I always said I would try modding Skyrim SE and play it for once. I however ran into a bit of a snag that has been bothering me for days now. It's the shadows on the female/male body (see pic). I have Demoniac- High Quality Glossy Female Body Texture 8K 4K 2K - SE (using 2k). And Vanilla Rudy ENB. I see these shadows even when I disable the ENB and it was annoying me how I cant figure it out on my own. If anyone knows what is causing this and can help I would be forever grateful. If you need more info just ask!

I'm trying to get a guy to port this mod to PC. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4147164 It does a perfect job of fixing these little problems. Edit; Yeah that did the trick alright! However I have a little bug that happens. I use custom loading screens, and disabling SAO causes them to all be very dark. Some are just black. I believe it's a post processing issue... I think I read that somewhere while trying to solve this shadow business.

ReverendFelix Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Ok, I'll try it. I realized that Obsidian Weathers may be using an ENB to simulate seasons. I'll also try turning off seasons temporarily to test if that's affecting it.
coolfreaky Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 it looks like you have 2 bodys in one ! open the femaleupperbody.nif in character / assets , and see if there is 2 branch of ...nitrishape ; if it is the case , do a backup , remove one , anyway (doubles or not ) update tangent&space and save . look also at your textures folder if not missing any femalebody_n .dds . look also your mod manager ( comments and signets ) on the location of the mod in the load order ( 2 body textures running together ). a possible mod overlay that is not correctly set in MCM .

Got that sorted now all works as intended regarding in game shadows, and loading screens looking proper. I'm not sure what this comment is all about. I was sorting out body shadows/load screens. Perhaps that comment is meant for the originator of this topic. I hope the info I gathered here is helpful to them. ?
