Key of which at the moment is the fact that my game crashes upon loading into Diamond City. Mid load-screen it CTDs. Anyone know what mod this could be caused by? Or just any general way to fix it? My PC is a "rogue sexbot" synth playing the Nuka Ride quest line. All is well until I try to enter Diampnd City during the motorcycle sub-quest and as the OP above says the game crashes on load of Diamond City. I've tested quite a bit and I can say the game doesn't crash as long as the Nuka Ride and Nuka CBBE patch modules are not activated. All this was started on a new and clean playthrough with no mods added or subtracted mid-stream. I've tried to figure out what happened from the Buffout crash log and all I can surmise is that someone tries to access an invalid memory address and then the kernel throws a fatal exception. Here is the (attached) crash log, for anyone who can actually read the thing and glean useful information. The stack trace is too long and undocumented for my brain to comprehend ? steelpanther24 Posted August 18, 2021 Share Posted August 18, 2021 OK, so assuming both of you updated to the latest GPU driver and your Windows is updated, the only thing I can siwht Mrod23 is that you are a bit light in the memory area......but.......the amount you have should be enough for a swap file (yes swap files use RAM not physical memory). As this is happening at DC,, are you entering DC during a storm? Also, did you do a LOOT report? Link to comment
Oldwolf58 Posted August 19, 2021 Share Posted August 19, 2021 Are you by chance using CPB Physics? If so which version? CPB Physics above V1.8-1.9 has a tendency to cause crashes. If you're using the V2.0 or V2.1 you might try dropping back to the 1.8 or 1.9 version and see if it solves your problem. Doing so reduced crashes in my game. The other problem with Diamond City is that it crashes on load in a vanilla game. The cause was never identified but the biggest speculation was that the game is calling to spawn female guards which are non-existant. I made a personal patch that changes the one entry in the guard list that actually says female guard (but contained only male guard references) and made that entry call real female guards and I do not have any crashes when loading into Diamond City now. My load order contains all the mods you mentioned and I'm running around 400 mods (253 esp/esm mods the rest are esl's). One other point, if you are running right at 255 mods (esp/esm's) then try disabling one or two minor mods to get under the 255 mark. Pushing the game engine right to the limit can cause instabilities in the engine. Hope this helps. Link to comment
