Enticing Apparel [WIP]

Yo I'm actually working on this again [05/13/2022]

But not as a coder after god smote me for my hubris the last time I tried.

 

I can't code, I am no longer trying to learn because I lost an organ the last time, but I can make assets so that's what this is. Just the assets, no mod, as I am trying to lure in someone who can code and wants to trade skills. For the trade, I can either create whatever outfits are desired, or do a mod-for-mod trade and create art assets for another project.

 

What I Am Making:

  • Risqué apparel sets for OTY female and thin bodytypes, with sizes for micro, small, average, large, and huge
  • All outfits have pregnancy-compatibility
  • A wide spread of outfits for different tech playstyles

 

What I'd Like:

  • Clothing that influences the thoughts of the wearer and the observers
  • The thought mood of the wearer is improved/trained by more sex acts 
  • The category of thoughts differ by key traits the wearer/observer has

 

Problems:

  • I don't know the proper render order and am going by my best guess
  • I can't get alpha masks to work and it's embarrassing
  • I break out in hives every time I look at a coding tutorial

 

 

Working On:

  • Custom graphics for differently-positioned breasts
  • Matching headgear for all the outfits
  • Thin versions for existing outfits
  • Outfits: Raider 2, Neolithic, Witch, Sundress, French Maid, Schoolgirl

Again: Not a mod

Though if you have an outfit idea you can most certainly pitch it.

Yeah, I did see Hediff Apparel, but I'm mostly sure right now that I don't want to do hediffs for this. 

 

Finally went to 1.3 at the end of my last 1.2 colony, so will be no longer doing the dumb thing.

 

Also I've pretty much decided on the first four outfits I'll be working towards making. I don't wanna go wild drawing until I'm absolutely positive I can get the hard parts of the mod done.

Oh damn! That looks hella good!

Will your apparel get their own tab in the menu like the kurin apparel does?

Nice work so far. Whenever it's ready for prime time, shouldn't be too hard to edit it for compatible body which is nice, as I prefer it much more over other body mods. Fits almost perfectly by default, just needed to move and shrink the bottoms a bit.

Those look great.

 

Small suggestion: If you split the outfits into multiple parts, mix+match could add a lot of variety.

 

Big suggestion: Would you be willing to make multiple versions of the tops to be used with SizedApparel? Especially outfits like this shine with that mod. Relying on that mod would solve your "render breasts under clothes" issue, as well.

 

Doesn't need one for every breast size, either. SizedApparel automatically finds the closest match it has, i.e. if your pawn has huge breasts, but you only have a large-breast version, it will display the large one. If you make an additional small and large titty version, it would already be enough to work well. (More never hurts, but those two alone would be great)

I really hope you don't mean more than 'upper', 'lower' and 'outer'. If it gets too cluttered it is a nightmare

Small reply: The elements will be split up into the main clothing layer, accessories, and headwear. Breaking down the clothes more than that would clutter things up and be more work- I would like to add many varieties of outfits. Ensembles that have things like a jacket or cape will have those elements separated out. 

 

Big reply: Yes, I will be making multiple sizes! I'm going to be focusing on OTY's micro-huge range. The specific way I am building these outfits in the program I am using makes processes like resizing very simple. I don't have to re-draw all of the line, fill, and shading layers, I only have to drag a few anchor points around. 

 

I want to try and figure out my own process for showing and hiding the nude graphics, because I also want to try and implement switching the shown nude graphic for another on the equipping of certain apparel. Right now the only sexy clothes that look good are ones that take advantage of nude body textures having the breasts drawn in a relaxed state. I will need to draw new breast shapes that would occur from wearing structured clothes like bodices, corsets, ect, in order to put in clothes that require a different silhouette. 

 

I doubt I have a snowball's chance in hell of actually accomplishing it, but dumber idiots have accomplished greater things so I might as well give it a go.

Agreed on the cluttered nightmare aspect- I'm going to be adding in a lot of outfits, so I'm going to be working on figuring out how to group them all together so it is not a sorting nightmare.

The good news is I'm working on this again. The bad news is I still can't code and am no longer trying to.  Some of the originals were lost, so working on the assets from the ground up.
