buwubbledum Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Hi!! I just downloaded the most recent update for WW, and then the Sims came out with a new patch. Immediately after, it was still totally fine for me, but after downloading more mods and animations for it, the menu won't show up in game anymore. The CAS nudity still works, but there's no notif in the game that WW is there and I can't use the menu and actions. I deleted every mod from my game, including WW, then redownloaded WW and it still wouldn't work, even without all the other mods there. Is anyone else having this issue? I have the files set up correctly too, with the WW folder immediately in the mods and not within other folders... I've tried repairing the game, too, but nothing.

Does any one have any ideas on that? Did you try removing it manually? Like, clicking it yourself to undress instead of letting them do it automatically? Cuz mine doesn't as it always has it's coat accessory on till I remove it manually. Try to do it manually and see if it works.

Try to do it manually and see if it works. Yes. Even manually they just stay dressed. It happened out of nowhere, I didn't even add or remove anything.

If they stay dressed even when you manually force them to undress then there is something really weird going on in your game, so it is for sure that you have some mod or cc that is conflicting with wicked whims (yes, even if it is updated) or have a duplicated version of wicked whims on your mods folder, or you are using a game version and a version of ww that do not work well together. You can attach the wickedwhimslog file here so we can take a look. If you have MCCC installed you can also provide a lastexception file (if you get any) or a systeminfo file.

The issue just popped up out of nowhere one day. No dup;licates, everything is up to date. So it's probably some random piece of cc, hopefully nothing that I love. Here is the log. I haven't had any exceptions from MCCC

I haven't had any exceptions from MCCC Since you have tons of CC you might have to try the 50/50 mod removal method. Just move half your mods/cc to desktop temporarily to test the other half in game. Delete your localthumbcache.pkg whenevr you add, remove, or update mods/cc. Don't make any new saves with mods/cc removed just exit after testing. This is easier if you have your mods/cc organized by category folders for each type of CC. Example: Mods/Clothing Mods/Hairstyles Mods/Furniture Mods/Makeup Mods/Shoes etc. Now you can just remove folders for testing to determine which folder has the bad cc. In your case it's likely broken clothing or makeup but anythings possible, even a corrupted sim/s, game save, or the game itself.

I run sims4studio and run through anything I download before I place it in its correct folder (my CC is meticulously organized, it's almost embarrassing) and I haven't run into anything, but I'll give it a whirl!

I've been using the same save file since I started S4 2 years ago, I'm on my 21st generation from one family tree... Is it salvageable? Can it be fixed? Or will I have to just start over? (any previous files would have the same bug, based on the date of those files, so I can't just roll back).

There is a possibility of fixing broken saves but it doesn't always work 100%. Remove all mods to desktop temporarily. Delete your localthumbcache.pkg in your TS4 folder. Load your old save but only to the map screen. Then do a 'save as' 'clean save' or whatever then exit. Re-install mods back into game and delete the localthumbcache again. Load the new save you just made and retest.

So as it turns out, I don't know if that actually worked, or if my going in and resetting my WW settings and changing them back to the way I had them made the difference but... Now things are working now!

Now things are working now! Glad you got it fixed anyway. The save cleaning I mentioned is something that should be done now and then with the longer played saves anyway.
