Why are there not any cum effects when my female character has sex with a male character?

you might wanna check out cum layers mod  just search on loverlabs and you will see a good mix of them i recommend azmodan22 cum layers

He is not playing sims. Think you got the wrong game. He needs to check his settings in sexlab framework.

You're not missing any mods. Probably. You have to enable TWO options in SexLab's MCM:

• Play orgasm effects
• Apply cum effects

If you mean cum shooting out of the penis (while not inside an orifice at the moment of orgasm), you'll need SexLab Cumshot or some equivalent mod. Sexlab itself only applies cum directly on certain parts of the body, if you have it set up correctly like described by Vyxenne.

 

There are cum overlay mods, but they "only" increase the variety of textures used and the places where cum can be put on. They aren't necessary to see any cum at all.

if you are using something like Glow Be Gone, that prevents shaders from being applied. For me, using the GhostFx workaround and adding an exception for Sexlab worked.
