LongDukDong Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) TamagoNews View File This was one of the last of the TamagoClub mods that I knew about which were not in the forum's Download Manager. I thought it best to ensure it safely here rather than fear it's loss from a filesharing site vanishing. The world of Tamriel is now replete with news bulletins reported by the ever omniscient 'Tamago News' broadcast agency. When you sign up, you will be delivered breaking news regarding who's recently given birth, who had a miscarriage, and who found themselves knocked up and pregnant. By default, an immediate alert will appear when the player becomes pregnant, or when either childbirth or a miscarriage occurs. Meanwhile, the news of an NPC becoming pregnant will show when that NPC has become aware of its state. No matter if the player is sleeping, whether they be NPCs or creatures, whether they are in lands far away like the Shivering Isles, news will be displayed, even in menu mode. However, the news flow will not contain explicit details such as the gender of the child or what it looks like. It is not connected to HiyokoClub or any other mods besides TamagoClub. This is a Dukky 'd' revision for minor changes, primarily for adding plenty of comments throughout and minor changes to the main quest, and the creation of a usable 'Version' script which outside modders can test. That and the instructional Readme should now have clearer content. Its initial function and rendered content remains untouched. Sladen2019 Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Would it be possible to make the notifications that appear, to last longer then the default 2 seconds or so ? Or at least be also pushed to the console, so the player can open it and see what they missed ? Quite often the message appears and I am busy fighting or something or afk and it would be nice to see what I missed.
LongDukDong Posted March 1, 2022 Author Posted March 1, 2022 When I worked upon its release, I was not aware that I was able to 'set' the duration of the message. In time, I hope to return to this and take care of that issue. :D 1

LongDukDong Posted April 5, 2022 Author Posted April 5, 2022 BREAKING EGG NEWS UPDATE TO VERSION 1.04D The duration in which each breaking alert by ENBA ("Egg News Broadcast Agency") can now be altered. A new addition to the INI file allows you to set this duration in seconds, currently set to the default duration of 5.0 seconds. Also added to the INI file is a simple feature that lets you turn on or off the Alert sound effect that ENBA so often uses. If the bell sound effect used to signal upcoming Egg News is not to your liking, it can now be turned off. These were minor changes, but aesthetic ones for your personal preference. 1
LongDukDong Posted March 7, 2024 Author Posted March 7, 2024 BREAKING UP THE EGG NEWS UPDATE TO VERSION 1.05D Indeed, the system now no longer uses the phrase "Egg News" when reporting if an NPC becomes pregnant, has a miscarriage or gives birth. Instead, the system now uses the system-spanning term "Tamago" in its place. So say goodbye to Egg News and hello to Tamago News. And why not? Tamago is Japanese for Egg. And it certainly sounds better going with the Japanese names of Tamago and Hiyoko than Egg and Chick. And no joke, not only is Hiyoko a girl's name, but means Chick. Ahh... but that's beside the point. Some rewriting was performed to the scripts, cleaning them up a little, and I introduced a new script whose function is to merely define the current version number. That's it.
