LilFX Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Just a small option I'd like to have (if its not possible I'm cool with it). Is it possible for a SexLab scene to initiate while sneaking WITHOUT causing instant detection? Example: stealthy follower decides to initiate sex with stealthy PC while sneaking (via mods like, say, Scent of Sex), and they proceed to quietly screw each other in the shadows of a bandit cave unnoticed. LOL, sounds silly, I know. But FUN.
ChrisHPZ Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Personally, I don't think this would be possible. Sneaking is affected by an NPC's line of sight. When out of sneak mode, the line of sight factor increases such that NPC's can see us. I did however see a mod which stops combat during sex scenes. It's some where here on Lovers Lab. So that might be a viable alternative.
Guest Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I think so, when you do the quest for Saadia in bannered mare and you enter the cave to where you have to talk to the Alik'r, the bandits play out a scene even if you are sneaking You have a option condition in dialogue - IsSneaking

What do you mean by "the bandits play out a scene even if you are sneaking"? If you mean an SL scene, I was more interested in the idea of the PC playing out a scene while sneaking without being detected. I don't play with any mods that allow NPC/NPC SL scenes.

The combat stopping features of some SL mods do help, but they don't deal with the detection issue so the bandits will gather around and when the scene is done, you won't immediately return to sneak mode, and even if so, will probably be detected by them looking at you. If there was a mod developed just for sneaky sex, it might be best to either toggle off TDetect so that no one actually sees you, adds you to a friendly-to-everyone faction or something like that. The alternate way might be to toggle the NPC aggression and detection general settings so they are nearly blind and deaf, but otherwise, what you want to do I don't think the game will support very easily. Might be wrong though.

Hmm... Save command to toggle it off again?

Save command to toggle it off again? typically the console will save a history of commands you type, and can repeat just by using the up arrow. I am not sure if that is vanilla behavior though or mod added. Give it a try? Type in a command, hit the up arrow and see if it shows up? "Tdetect" isn't all that long though, so it might be easier to just re-type it.
Andy14 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 The player and the follower would be seen once the sneak mode ends (and it ends) and they are in view. To prevent this, you could deactivate the AI for all non-participants (before the start of the scene) and reactivate it after the scene. BUT: Starting a scene when the player is sneaking or has a weapon in hand very often ends with the fact that after the scene the player is in third person and the controls are crazy. Therefore it would make sense to at least put your weapons away before the scene by script.

LOL Ah, that does make more sense, though there was a mod I saw that let you save console commands to a keybind (well technically set a keybind to a batch file that had them, but same thing). Yes TDetect is a toggle, on/off with the same, no parameter command. Does not need an NPC targeted or anything. Not like Disable/Enable or PRID.
