Luvaire Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 So I decided to get back into Skyrim, and I'm mainly wanting to get mods like Yiffy Age of SKyrim and the Yiffy Age Extensions. I do know what other mods I'm looking for as well (A defeat style mod, unless defeat is the primarily used one still, things that add exhibitionism, and or sex based quest lines with choices that matter, things that make things harder for those playing a female, as I do enjoy some of the content provided by those, nudity mods, scholongs of Skyrim, slavery mods where the player can be enslaved themselves, as I tend to want to play as a character who is a sub/is the one who gets fucked, it can be straight or gay. I don't mind.). I'm just confused on a few things. 1. Should I get these mods aimed for newer editions of Skyrim, or stick with the original version? I know there are mods that support certain versions? I know that's dependent a bit on the mods I want, I'm just curious if you all feel like one version has more support than another? 2. For Skeleton mods, I know that choice is based on what mods you plan on using, What about body mods CBBE or UNP, which one do you prefer and which one do you feel works best, and what sort UNP or CBBE mod would you recommend? I haven't really used things like body sliders well before either, and what's the major benefit you've noticed when using them? Any advice or videos you could throw my way to help a relative newbie/rusty person with Skyrim modding to for help? 3. Mod Cleaning, so I heard about Tes5edit, or something like that for cleaning mods. How important is that for Loverslab modding, and how on earth do I do that. I noticed I was having issues way back getting the mods to work consistently on occasion. Sometimes the game would crash, or the animations wouldn't display properly, etc. Like for example when I tired to use simply slavery and the mods that worked for it, and I went to an auction, then the auction kind of just froze there and nothing happened? So figuring out about mod cleaning would be helpful. If you all know of any videos or advice you could give for a person not familiar with modding that would be great. I know how to put in mods and how to find the dependency mods, but that is something I assume is minor. Thank you all for your time.
MadMansGun Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 for Yiffy Age stuff LE is probably better. YA and the addon races are mostly made for UNP based bodys. XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended is the one to use. most Lovers lab mods are already clean so there is nothing to clean, it's mostly load order you need to worry about.
x0101x Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Well if you want to jump into SE bandwagon, most of popular mods from LE are converted or remarked for it (some of them are stable, some of them well less). But myself I dunno good guide for SE moddig. Also kinda OStim family of mods started to be the newest hot thing for adult modding, that is started to stepping on Sexlab's toes. But it's slowly growing (well it offers mostly vanilla sex experience stuff, so yeah, you need to wait until some kinky mods authors would pick up this framework), and still Sexlab has larger base of mods, but you can keep eye on it.

Sorry if I sound like a noob, so I only have normal and Special Edition, is LE the normal one, or do I have to buy it, because I don't see it on steam lol.

Yeah so I learned apparently Legendary Edition isn't being sold on steam anymore, can I still run SE and it'll be fine? Edit: Found out, that I can't get a mod I want without Legendary Edition, so now I'm checking if I can use the regular edition or not.

Nazzzgul666 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 As MadMan already mentioned, for skeleton you want XPMSE, there is no other choice. UNP or CBBE are bodies, for Skyrim SE there is BHUNP which looks really interesting but with LE i'm sticking with CBBE, mostly because i can't be bothered to download all the armors i collected over the years. Using bodyslide is required for a lot of armors and most importantly the Devious Devices familiy which is required for a lot of mods. For quests and a shitton of followers with varying character traits, Troubles of Heroine is the way to go imho, it has sooooo much content without forcing you into anything. It doesn't forcegreet with very few exceptions or block you from playing normally mechanics wise, but followers and some other NPCs have dialogues you'll be expected to click now and then for progress or simply story. For a more forced experience which rather adds to these followers than rivaling, Devious Followers Continued and this version of Submissive Lola will give you a slave experience. Lola is still more towards consent and you have to ask to be enslaved while devious followers generally do that automatically. You can use both in the same save, DFC will pause itself when you're enslaved by submissve Lola. SL survival fits with all three pretty well, in combination they'll... encourage you going out to adventures to earn money while making it significantly harder, especially at the beginning.

These are awesome suggestions thanks. I'm thinking of also getting into things like survival mods as well, like Frostfire I think was the name of it from the Nexus. Any combat overhauls you could recommend? I wanted to try out requiem, but there is so much one needs to do and it confuses me. Any other combat overhauls you could recommend to me? Edit: Oh and would you recommend Sexlab Defeat, or Naked Defeat?
Nazzzgul666 Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 SL Survival has some nice ties to Frostfall (swimming naked removes cum from body) and something like campfire is recommended to be able to camp outside cities and avoid tolls if you don't have any money already. It's a hard requirement for Frostfall anyways so... I can't remember right now if it needs Bathing in Skyrim for that, but if so you'll need Monomans patches for it. Naked Defeat is still beta and might have bugs, but other than Defeat it's actively developed. I more or less switched because Defeat somehow stopped working for me properly after using it for years without issues... couldn't find the problem either, i assume some weird mod conflict. What Naked Defeat lacks is the option to rape NPCs, otherwise it has some less options but also additional features that you might like or not. Especially any humanoid rapers will tie you up and you have to struggle out. So it'll definitly take more time than Defeat to move on after getting raped even if not sold to slavery or such. I'd say that's the main difference and the choice should be wether you like that or not.^^ If you want to rape NPCs and struggle you can actually use both, turning off Defeats... defeat scenario. Nymra added a lot recently so i'd recommend to try her new Beta just released yesterday in the support thread, you'll get also a clue what she's currently working on and where it goes... don't expect it to be perfect, though.^^ One thing i'll just try myself now is an alternative to the DD framework, leaving you more freedom and, appearently, less buggy. Not much mods using it yet but it comes with it's own quest mod toy story and Virgin Maries old mod Shout like a Virgin Evolved was rewritten to use it instead. SLavE is kinda a slave mod as well, with some pretty cool and unique features and adds a lot... should be compatible with everything. It's the closest to a combat overhaul i personally tried though, adding shouts that allow you to fuck enemies to death but with limited use/conditions so vanilla combat isn't entirely out.
