Silk Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 As the topic title really. Now the Sexlab has been released I thought it high time to actually learn how to make my own mods based off of it and make some of my ideas part of reality. Took a look at the instructions on the CS wiki, but only some of it made sense.
BruceWayne Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Cipscis has some tutorials for Skyrim: http://www.cipscis.com/skyrim/tutorials/ I haven't looked at those yet, but his tutorials on the other Beth games were incredibly helpful.
DoctaSax Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I always say the best way is to pay attention to how other people do it. When you're done learning about the basics, open up a few mods, and try to read the scripts. Reading and writing go hand in hand; it's the same with beth scripts as it is with any other language. You need wikis and tutorials but they're just the start; it's a gradual process, the same way you can learn the basics of a foreign language at school but never be fluent at it unless you expose yourself to the way it's really written and spoken. And don't get discouraged, of course.
DiscipleDarkfriend Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Cipscis has some tutorials for Skyrim: http://www.cipscis.com/skyrim/tutorials/ I haven't looked at those yet, but his tutorials on the other Beth games were incredibly helpful. They are amazing, In the last few days I have learned quite a bit and he presents it in a way that does not overwhelm. Thank you for the recommendation.
