Game Freezes When Toggling Clothes In Character Creation

So I'm using Bodyslide Fusion Girl Body Talk and Looks Menu. When I start a new game and toggle clothes in the menu the game freezes and I have to restart my PC, can't kill it with task manager etc. I read on some older threads this was a known issue and to just use tfc and unqeuip clothes before entering the looks menu. Is there a better fix for this issue or is that work around still necessary? I have other mods installed but nothing conflicting with these mods according to FO4edit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Using MO2 so my modlist can be easily provided.

Crash was fixed in latest looksmenu version as far as I know

I'm using 1.6.18 with AAF 

According to this guide 1.6.18 is the only thing compatible with morphs. I'm assuming going to the surgeon would make using tfc unecessary lol. just kind of inconvenient.  Nvm I'm using MO2 so it's as simple as changing versions to change my looks and reverting back to .18 after.

That is a known LooksMenu bug and even though 'it's been fixed', it is still there.

Undress your character through your Inventory and then use 'slm 14' to open LooksMenu for your character after you leave the vault or at any point after you've acquired the pip-boy.

It definitely was not, as I'm still getting it now. Yes, in 2025. Yes, I have the latest version.

 

In fact, I can't even use ANY slider in looksmenu if I open it in ANY way other than going to a surgery station.
