Steam workshop mirrors.

Following the advice of others some links have been disabled. You can now request stuff again but you MUST follow this method. Failure to follow this method WILL result in your request being terminated and all evidence of it removed!!

The process now goes as follows:

  • You make a request for a mod to be mirrored.
  • I make a request to the author of the mod to allow me to mirror it.
  • Either a yes or no is given.
  • If the author does not reply within a week (What I consider more then enough time for active modders) the mod will be mirrored. However if the author replies after the mirror and it is not allowed it will be removed.

Any chance of reuploading the Pit Figther travels??Or did the mod author decline the permission???

I have not received a reply yet. It's pretty hard to request stuff on Steam Workshop as you can't send messages only give comments asking for permission. It was one of the reasons I just uploaded rather then asking.

If I don't get a reply in two days the link goes public again.

I just wanted to say thanks for a few of these. Ive had nothing but problems with getting files from steam, as in ruining my game.  I like to have control over when and where i install things and not how steam does it.  Big thanks!

I agree with the fuck steam and all it stands for argument.  That said I refuse to download anything from steam even if I dearly want it, if the modders post it somewhere else then its mine mwahahahahahaaa.

My reasoning for disliking steam -

1. Be fucked if I will ask permission to play my own game

2. Be fucked if I will be force fed their method of delivering mods

3. Be fucked if I will let some asswipes think they can just blow in and take control of the thriving modding community and stifle it through restricting access to free material.

4. I believe that providers like steam are but a short step away from advertising in game.  Once the nbn arrives in Australia I would almost be disappointed if they didn't.

5. I bought my copy of Skyrim legit, I installed it on my PC and after 2 hrs of updating I uninstalled skyrim and steam then downloaded a cracked copy so that I did not have to put up with their shit.  They should burn in hell.

I refuse to join their club, I love skyrim but steam shits me to tears.

OK no more posting until I catch up.

Everything above this red line will be done. No one else post until I say so.
