Two (different) installations of TS4 possible?

Hello there. I’m wondering if there’s a possibility to have 2 separate and different installations running on the PC.

Is this possible? 
 

I want to create a different documents folder for testing different mods and compatibility without always copying tons of files in and out of my main game folder.

Any suggestions?

Use a mod to edit the mods folder with a symlink. A restart of TS4 is required to switch between Mod folders.

Use a VM (HyperV, OracleBox, VMWare) and run TS4 in it - could be really slow while you may set visual details to very low.

Create a 2nd account on you PC and switch between accounts. Each account has its own mod folder while they use the same installation.

 

There is no need to copy any files. Renaming 'Mods' to 'Mods.good' and then 'Mods.new' to 'Mods' works fine.
