Bashis Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 so i spent the weekend trying to learn how to blender/nifskope so i could convert armors finally, and have come to the conclusion that i have absolutely no talent with the systems whatsoever, and that me converting armors is pretty much impossible. Â all the effort was to get one set of armor converted, its a replacer for the Chinese stealth suit, and i'm pretty fond of it, used it way back in playing fallout 3, and wanted it back for ttw, but my issue is that its for the skinny6 body, and only that body. Personally i find that body just plain disturbing to look at, nobody should be that thin IMO, but that's just me. anyways i was wondering if anyone could be real nice and just inflate it up to type 3 standards? Â on a completely unrelated note auto-correct tells me nifskope should actually be penknife? i don't even know.
Happysparkles Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I do not mod fallout yet, but I know if you get Gerra6's tool It can create a Lattice Quickly. and it should work for fallout. I know how you feel about the skinny lol. Not in insult it but I can see your grife with that body type it is a bit on the too skinny side. I think it is called Lattice Convertor. Â Here is the link, it makes conversions close to one click. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10396-clothing-bodytype-converter-v42b/ Â I would do it for you but sadly I am kind of tied up with mods to the neck atm . Â But I would reckon that would be very useful. I also do wish you luck with that . Â
Bashis Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 seems like an amazing tool, but reading the instructions on the thread is close to trying to decipher a second language, because i already cant make heads or tails out of blender, most of the terminology he used flies way over my head, ill give it a shot but i don't have high hopes lol
Bashis Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 huh, i actually got it to work, but i dont understand the last step in the instructions, "import a skeleton then export the nif like normal". do i jsut import the skeleton i use in my data folder, then file export the file as a .nif? or is there some other skeleton needed?
Bashis Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 nope, jumped the gun on it working, the waist got to the right size, but the pelvic bones are all fucked up from the frontal view, and i have no way of knowing how to fix that, looks like ill have to leave this conversion up to a kind citizen who knows what the hell they are doing.
Happysparkles Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Well it depends on the skeleton you use. Once again this comes from me speaking from Oblivion knowledge. But I am sure it works the same for fallout. You've ever had that time where you downloaded an outfit and than when you try it on the outfit is shooting out to space? This is because it is an incompatible skeleton. To fix such an issue you would simply import the nif files into blender delete the Skeleton (in Oblivon it is usually that line stuff that looks way out of place) Then from there you would press A so you can select all then load the skeleton you use, in short making it compatible with the skeleton you use. Also a quick guide for you about something he may NOT have mentioned. Is getting the outfit to fit, I found my short cut to be more less time consuming and allows me to convert things quickly. When you've made a lattice I would delete the body as it is probably not 100% perfect. Import the body you want to make the outfit fit, in this case type 3 and then import the modded outfit in this case the one above. From there this is what you will do.   Basically I am going to turn this (Sui Cup Big boobed outfit)       Into this HGEC A-Cup.  Now first things first I am going to delete the Sui cup body (: Because I no longer need it. But notice I have the dress and it does not fit, hmmm what am I going to do ><.   I know! I am going to click JUST the Dress and Click Add Modifier. Then I will Select Lattice.   After doing this I recommend you write down the Name of your Lattice, I named mine Lattice and as per the tutorial (the original one) I pressed M and moved it to the send area to have it hidden yet there. After you do that this is what you get an outfit that almost fits perfectly,  From here what I would do us use the sculpt tool (a quick way is click where it says Object mode and then select sculpt mode. Press N to bring up more options I usually go to Layer and put the strength accordingly (higher will make it VERY strong I'd say 5-16 is sufficient for most conversions that require small touch ups. You can also use smooth to smoothen things out. But for the most part it should be pretty close fitting if not perfect. When I did the Lattice there was a slight twist in the nipple so yeah, kind of explains why I here will have to do extra work. Do not forget to click Apply when done so it can be official. Also save the File and delete all other items you just need the lattice and you can use it in the future. From there that's when you do the import skeleton thing (the one YOU use)  Before   After  Basically I went from pretty much similar extremes. I firstly had E cups all the way down to A-Cups. It works the same way up. I did the Same process and made it into the BTRA body which is basically H+ Cups.  Final from A-H-Cup.  I hope that this helps. Basically it should be the same type of rule of thumb. Though you need to use the settings for Skeleton Uploads for fallout otherwise you will have an invisible armor.
Bashis Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 i appreciate all the help your giving me, but i guess i should explain my problem better, the issue is in creating the lattice itself, it always makes a bounding box that doesn't include parts of the breasts and butt, and when i use the conversion script from the other post it deforms the suit around the stomach area pretty seriously, i know there's ways to edit and fix the lattice to make it all work, or sculpt out the errors ect., but that's the stuff i have no clue on how to do, and to get that know how i would have to learn the whole blender system from the ground up, and being a full time college student i just honestly don't have that kind of time.
Happysparkles Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 No problem I am glad to help. Well if anything post a screenshot of the issue. Also do not forget to press Breast Ring, there are 2 Versions; not for nothing I prefer to follow the tutorial from the 4.2 but I found the older script to be much more accurate. So instead of using Create Transformation Lattice4.2B I use the older one that says Create Transformation Lattice. You also want to use Breast Ring, Here this is my default settings.   This is how I use it and it went from my F Cup the the A-Cup body. Pretty smoothly; somewhere on one of the postings not sure I remember which one though ><. But there was some mention about creating a second lattice off the first one, but I usually stop at the first as I spend hours playing around with different settings, keep in mind my lattices are made off of a entire body, lowerbody hands, feet, upperbody. So because of this it is harder to get a great fix, but if you use these settings more or less it should go decently. Of course as mentioned above posting pictures helps quite a bit as well, so me or other people can see the scope how whats wrong exactly.
Bashis Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 using your settings made it look a little better, but the stomachs still messed up, i think what it is is the skinny6 body has the pelvic bones protruding in the front, like she hasn't eaten in 3 weeks, and when i convert it to a type 3 it doesn't clear that up, just expands it, actually making the protrusions worse. if that's the case i don't think the problem is the settings, its the body itself. here is the armor file, both body's and the lattice that was created from the script, maybe you can figure out how to smooth the stomach out and get rid of those hip tusks.
Bashis Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 alright, i got it converted over to type 3 and saved, and played around with the sculpt tools for a while, but i just don't have the artistic talent to smooth out the bulging stomach, can someone at least open this file up in their blender and smooth out the stomach to be the basic shape of a type 3 body? it looks like shes in her first trimester of pregnancy when wearing it, but its supposed to be flat/normal.

Or at least make the other Pregnant P2, P3 variations and maybe damaged versions H25, H50 & H75 for it too so I can add it to SCR
