Ezarr Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 I made a follower and I want it to use a custom 'Ebonyflesh' spell. At first I made the spell from zero but it was not working, so after that I copy-paste the ebonyflesh spell on my follower esp (TESVedit) and tried to modify it to give it a unique appearance, but this again didn't work. I was confused if there was something wrong with my follower making it unable to use spells, so I gave it 3 random magic spells to test this (healing, flames, ward) and it was using all 3 spells no problem. Then I gave my follower a default ebonyflesh spell, but again was not making use of it. Can someone point me out in the right direction of what's preventing my follower from using the ebonyflesh spell? Additional info: My follower class is Monk and the Combat style is Spellsword.---- this was a random setup.
RW311 Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Can any npc use ebony flesh at all? I never tried this one with npc I know they can use the more basic flesh spells but only due to the cost, so if you edit ebony flesh which npc can't afford really and maybe made it stronger then you may have caused it to cost so much no one can use it. Also maybe you set it up so it can't be equipped so make sure you can equip and use the spell before trying it on npc, just use player add spell in console and test it out that it can be equipped in either or both hands and if not then maybe you are trying to give npc a one hand spell that requires two hands or equipping it to the wrong hand. I think I would start with one of the novice alteration spells that npc can use and make sure it works as a duplicate then go make edits to it from there.
Kendo 2 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Try assigning the spell to a specific hand. I know NPC spellcasters use those so just duplicate how those spells are set up in the CK. Ditch the unique appearance of the spell until you get it working.
