Using the search button, it seems this game was brought up a FEW times...but, I expected more when finding this forum. Figured I'd make a new thread since it hasn't been talked about here in a long while, plus I wanted to bring up something...

 

For everyone that doesn't know, Koikatsu Party is essentially the "ultimate anime girl creator", and I'm not exaggerating that. You can basically recreate any anime girl out there, especially with truckloads of mods thanks to the HF Patch. There's also a story mode where you can play as a male character at a high school and, erm, do stuff with your created girls, but I never bothered with that. I've mostly used the Chara Studio and create my own screenshots there. Only downside to this game is that it's 60 freakin' dollars....I'd say wait for a sale or get it another way but, honestly...I find it worth it for the Studio and character creator alone.

 

There also happens to be this mod/plugin that allows you to export your character and save it as a format that Blender can open (or Unity). People have used this to bring their characters into VRChat but...that's about it.

 

Main reason why I decided to make this thread here since a lot of you are into modding, and I'm not that good with Blender. Even with video tutorials and such I would always end up running into issues and could never managed to get my character VRChat ready. I was never too interested in VRChat to begin with but I wanted to see how difficult it was, even though people told me it was really easy.

 

With that all said and done...has anyone actually tried to use this and bring their characters into other games? I've asked on Steam before and ended up being ignored...go figure. (I'm used to it at this point) Would be fun bringing your favorite anime girls into other random games and such. I was hoping to for this to happen with a Senran Kagura game, but I did get an answer on that, apparently Senran Kagura character files are...complicated...bleh.

 

Anyways, I'm new here, found this site not too long ago when searching for mods of a certain game, decided to join so I could download some of the mods here. Figured I make a thread about this game...so yeah, hey. xD

The Illusion fanbase is 100% fetish based and it takes about five seconds for people to start throwing shit at each other over those fetishes. Same thing with K17. That's not how LL works; and unlike f95, LL doesn't rely on moderators enforcing forced fake nicety.

 

If you want stuff for Illusion games, you'll need to hit the main Illusion discord and then find whatever "how dare you ciriticize my magnum opus life masterpiece" fetish Discord for your particular tastes or active wallet removal threshold.

...Not sure what you mean by LL...or f95 or whatever. Also, like I've said, I've tried the Steam forums asking about importing models into other games...and tried the discord once or twice...I get ignored.

I've seen a number of adult unity, renpy and rpg maker games that uses Koikatsu assets but that's about it, there might be some made for MMD as well

Would've been fun to have a custom roster in Senran Kagura using Koikatsu...or a Warriors game...or, SOMETHING. >.< lol

I'm a bit confused about what you want.

If you want to import characters for koikatsu there are a lot of sites that share cards for that:

illusioncards.booru.org, pixiv or kenzato.booru (a lot of them uses Mod-Packs like BetterRepack Mod-Packs to work)

if you want to use koikatsu characters in other games i have no clue.

Koikatsu is cool, but I prefer my maids in COM3D2.

I meant games other than VR Chat, I've always looked and no one has ever bothered for some reason. Like, you'd think people would've tried doing this with a Senran Kagura game already or something.

Oh, you mean export the characters to import them in literally ANY other game? I said it would be an easy task in a game like VR chat because that game does allow models from Koikatsu and many other resources.

 

Unlike VR Chat, in games like Senran Kagura all the modding support you would get comes from the community, you don't have tools to manipulate or change the models however you like so Import and replace models would be much, much harder to do. Perhaps for someone without modding knowledge would be impossible. I'm afraid there isn't a "Universal model changer" that works in all games, in cases like this, If the devs don't provide tools to edit, change and replace models and you are no modder then you have to rely in what the community is able do. Best case scenario they develop their own tool to edit game files.

 

I haven't come across any tool to edit Senran Kagura games that way but I haven't either look very much, if there isn't one then you have to either wait for one or figure out by yourself.

I think Tamsoft is developing SK7 in Unreal so... maybe that'll be easier to mod, maybe it won't, Unreal feels like a coinflip sometimes.

Well I was also using Senran Kagura as just an example...any game besides VR Chat would be interesting. Just wondering why no one has ever tried yet since you're able to export your characters into Blender.

Because Illusion encrypts copyright stamps into most of their content. You use their creator to put content into someone else's game, you're using their copywritten and owned assets. You get DMCAd or sued, that's entirely on you.

Private use is probably fine. Paid or public is not.

Koikatsu is pretty fun, but I personally prefer HS2. It's not as easy, and it doesn't really capture the anime look, but I like how versatile it is, and how much flexibility you have when it comes to character creation.

That said, I mostly just create characters, since I've never gotten good with the Studio.

Hey i was wondering if i got the betterpack folder for koikatsu party do i need all the full packs? like 1 and 2? just asking since the folder is around 100 GB which seems pretty big.

The only thing Koikatsu has over HS2 is the mod K-plug that gives a ton of features including more animations (superior animations) and HS2 animations get old very fast.

....Well I guess importing created characters into other games is impossible apparently...T.T

 

Whatever, had some Studio issues that I was asking for help via Steam's forums, and of course no one is responding. Anyone having weird Studio issues with the mods (HF Patch) where sometimes the mods are either wrong (they'll load other mods instead, sometimes duplicates, too), or load as simple shapes...or sometimes they don't load at all. Also there are times where the textures are glitching/changing or something.

 

Also sometimes objects will vanish if the camera gets close, it gets worse when scaling them to make it bigger...there's no way to fix this huh? It gets annoying sometimes...
