Is this mod fixed yet?  I really like the idea of it but it breaks if you have a companion.

The companion part worked for me most of the times. But it broke the carriage driver multiple times by now.

Unfortunately I don't.  I think most mods have their own folder under something related to the file access mod itself.   Ok I'll actually go look.

 

No, it wasn't about the file access mod, its in this mods folder under SKSE,  ie Data\SKSE\Plugins\DeviousCarriages, a file is there called dcc_config.json.  And I don't have the game installed anymore but that file is still there.  :)

whats the correct way to uninstall this mod, it  broke the carriage system, if i disable/remove it corrupts my save and say it cannot load, i tried to use resaver but it says everything is fine with my saves and nothing to clean.

Actual gameplay integration would be even better, but honestly I just wanna be able to run these two mods side-by-side without any cursed happenings like that xD

SLUTS only adds a new dialogue to the regular vanilla drivers. No problem at all. I run it together.

Doesn't mean, of course, that there aren't any, and who knows, one day even @Kimy might show up at journey's end, tossed out of the cart as a fully trussed up follower, suited, booted and hooded, but I do think that that's probably rather wishful thinking ...

is this compatible with "Carriage and Ferry Travel Overhaul (Formerly Complete Fast Travel Overhaul)" ?

I just installed this mod and am trying it out. By chance I tried to see if the boat in Dawnstar was affected. Perhaps an idea for an update... get stranded on a island somewhere.

This works on SE, and has as CFTO patch - think that's in the thread somewhere

I analyzed the *.pex files.  It turns out that only five scripts from @PowerBing's version have been modified.  They are:

  • pbdc_banditbossscript.psc

  • pbdc_equipscript.psc

  • pbdc_mcmscript.psc

  • pbdc_restraintscheckscript.psc

  • qf_pbdc_carriagequest_070012c4.psc

This mod by @lastbytescout includes copies of all the modified source files except for qf_pbdc_carriagequest_070012c4.psc.

Does this mod consistently lock up the game for anyone else?  I've got all the probabilities down pretty low, so it doesn't get triggered very often, but without fail every time it has it's either locked up the game entirely or has just failed to progress beyond the bandits stopping the cart.  Which is a real shame, as I love this mod and the unpredictability of events initiated by it, or at least I did.  I'm on AE, if that makes any difference, but I thought I read that this worked with AE.

It would be realy great, if this mod gets developed further or we could get a new mod with the same theme. It has so much potential, but for me it breaks more often than it works.

  • Bandits geat agressive when PC is raped by leader, they attack the driver or my follower....
  • After animation is finished the mod just freezes the game. No input works, besides ESC.

I have a few ideas I would add to this mod and its concept, but I am only 8 months into modding my game and still learning.

(I understand nothing about programming in itself and especially for mods 😞)

It is realy hard to learn all those differnent tools for mod creations (I even cannot run Creation Kit properly, because I downgraded my Skyrim to 1.6.4.0 and installed the AE content picker mod. I think I would need to reinstall Skyrim completly frech to just try to learn the creation of mods, but then I cannot play my modded skyrim anymore 😕

This mod breaks down every time I try it after maybe 10-20 travels. The game is not taking my money when I get in the car and the travel doesn't start.

Ye I have the bandits thing too.

I just turn off all the bandit stuff and then the mod works just fine.

Altho I've had some crashes since testing it but im not sure this is where they're coming from.

Are the devices sets not working anymore? Even when I set it to 100% chance and choose a specific set it only equips 2-3 devices and they are often not fitting to the set name. For example the "black ebonite set" was just boots and armbinder.

DD 5.1 and DD5.2 btw.

I got it to work with DD 5.1. Some Sets are just smaller with fewer pieces than expected. DD 5.2 on the other hand changed a lot of the devices names and IDs so it's probably to be expected to be missing a few pieces.
