Dimmest Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Whenever I (the player) use raise undead or a similar thing on a dead NPC, they go through the animation as if they're about to resurrect... .. And then immediately launch at a high speed into the sky. It's the only situation that seems to cause this behavior. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before in their game and if so if they were able to narrow down a cause? Because I'm at a complete loss. Or if someone has any suggestions for how I can narrow down the issue. The only mod I have related to undead installed is Undead FX. Raise undead spells work properly when hostile NPCs cast them.

Mh.. It sounds like an Havok Prob? Can you measure your FPS ingame while raising a corpse? Skyrim tend to have this kind of problems. Sometimes when i pick an item up and my fps is to high (normally its on 60 but if not..) the spoon gets raised way to quick, could be a similar thing with your corpses. (I had this mod in my game months ago, never had that problem with it.)

I had a similar problem with 1HWeapon animation, and solved it by correcting this fix I opened Havok fix, and changed this string. it was originally set at 30 fps . Which also in this case solves? [fps] ##fMaxTime won't update below this framerate (default/vanilla = 60) ##lower values might improve performance in areas where your pc struggles to reach 60fps but could also lead to physics glitches. min=60

Or at least not in any way that I can tell. Running Steam's FPS tracker in the top right, it never goes above 59 FPS. Another interesting thing about it is that the NPC actually does sometimes complete the raise animation, takes out their weapon, then launches. Othertimes they launch the moment they're hit. Or in between those two points.
Dimmest Posted February 27, 2021 Author Posted February 27, 2021 Here's a quick video showing the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFOUvvmrgMI
anjenthedog Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Hmm. your raised character seemed ok until you snuck in that placeatme command via console.
Dimmest Posted February 27, 2021 Author Posted February 27, 2021 Yeah, I noticed as I was doing that test that the undead decide to take off like a rocket once they enter combat. So strange.
Dimmest Posted February 28, 2021 Author Posted February 28, 2021 In case anyone else runs into this issue, I *think* I fixed it but I'm not 100% certain yet. About 15 minutes of testing and I haven't had the issue again. I'm not exactly sure what the issue was: Updated SKSE (I was one version out of date.) Undated Sacrosanct to 5.17.0 (Don't think this had anything to do with it) Updated Papyrus Extender to 4.2 Updated Frozen Electrocuted Combustion to 4.7 Uninstalled Floating Damage. Thank you to anyone that commented. If I start having the issue again or discover something else I'll update the post.
