Jagdpanzer 38t Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 So while messing arround in outfit studio I noticed that I can import my body preset to OS via file>import>nif I did some slight mesh adjustments in there and when I go to export>nif and overwrite the mesh in game folder. I load a save and body is unchanged, If I reopen the body nif in OS again the changes are there but not ingame...

But since its a slider preset, why not directly load it in OS using "Slider tab > load preset" and do little dirty tests ?
kziitd Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 If the external display is correct but not in the game, it is likely that the modified resource has not replaced the original one correctly.

If you are editing the body via sliders, simple save the changes as a preset (slider/save preset) name it whatever you like then use bodyslide to apply it to your body and clothes.
Jagdpanzer 38t Posted February 24, 2021 Author Posted February 24, 2021 Thanks for the replies guys what happened is Vortex installing mods into different folder and not into game/data like before. I've tested and I see changes now but only naked, any way to save that as a preset so one can use it w/ clothing? If I import>nif then slider>save preset says there are no sliders, if I slider>new slider and save then, it says no changes were made and no preset was saved. I do not want to change anything just save as it is, any ideas?
kharneth1 Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 You can't save a nif as a preset, a preset is a set of sliders. What you can do is load a reference, make the changes you want to the sliders (starting from 0 or loading a preset to make the changes from a existing preset) and then save it a preset

The essence of the slider is the deformation data of the polygon. You can understand the deformation data of the polygon as the distance value of the same point at different positions, so it has nothing to do with NIF, because the polygon vertex of nif has reached the position it should be. What you need is to tell these points how far they move to the next station, that is, another shape. These distances are then counted as "sliders.". If I remember correctly, OS has a function. If the number of polygons remains unchanged, if the same model has two shapes, OS can generate a slider according to the difference between the two shapes. In other words, the OS can record the difference between the body that you don't know what the preset value is and all the bodies that are preset as 0. I can't remember the following things clearly. In a word, on this basis, it's not too far for you to get the specific preset value from the preset body of 0 to the body of good shape. OS has a lot of teaching that you can study.
