Battle Raper 2

Hi guys,

I want to introduce you to BattleRaper 2. That's a fighting game by illusion. One of the best looking beat em ups for pc. You fight with one of 6 characters untill the lifebar is empty. while fighting clothes get ripped off, depending on where you hit. special moves with keycombinations are possible too. using a gamepad is my advice. it plays as cool as dead or alive, but has less moves and less chars.

in the storymode you can play a minigame where you have to heal the wounds of the stripped enemy girl by rubbing her there without waking her up. that's the rape. x-D in the end you get an interactive sexscene with one of the girls depending on wich way you choosed and unlock new dresses.

 

There is a normal fightmode, where you can just choose your char and an enemy and fight. unfortunately there is no tournament-mode.

The game is barely translated to english and not as good as it might have been. unfortunately the genius behind it stopped working on it. if he wouldn't have called it "battle RAPER", he might have had an international success. "Strip Combat" woudln't have been that bad... :-D

I really enjoyed that game, but missed new chars and a tournament setting. still it was a lot of fun for a short time.

(don't try to install the addon with new chars, cause it's just a bad retexture of some of the existing chars.)

There's also an english translation patch available for this, its entertaining for a while but you loose interest rather quickly, then again i usually use interest rather quickly with fighting games, except a very few, so considering how much this one lasted with me i guess it wasn't that bad.

To be honest though, BattleRaper (or BattleRaper 2, to be more precise) was actually one of the few entertaining games released by Illusion, which not only had the H-content we expected it to have but also had actual GAMEPLAY. All the recent releases of Illusion have been lackluster in my opinion. It's one thing to have a simulation game (which most of its recent games are) but it's also another when they pretty much skimp out on BOTH gameplay and H-content. I missed Artificial Girl 2 in which it had a nice variety of poses. Artifical Girl 3 had less, or if it had more then I'd say a majority of them were pretty lame and forgettable. Thankfully, the Yuusha game they released sometime ago allowed us to experiment with our own poses (which I hope a similar system will be implemented in a future Artifical Girl game), but that game was probably the closest one I can think of being remotely entertaining.

 

Don't get me wrong, I think Illusion is one of the better hentai game developers out there but I won't pretend to be blind as to say that every single game they've made, especially the more recent ones, have been stellar. They seriously need to re-evaluate what their goals are and actually IMPROVE rather than release new IPs with bare-bones content/gameplay each time.

now that u mention that, i actually do to a point, agree with you. the gameplay is there but i guess what im saying is that the gameplay is limited and short and there wasnt just enough replay value to keep me coming back. and the fighting part, it gets repetitive (maybe im biased here, im not a really big fan of Tekken). my time on other Illusion simulation games are actually longer than that of Battle Raper 2 or Yuusha.

 

oh yeah, Yuusha. this one i enjoyed immensely. its too bad that the game ends quickly though. the DIY pose is an awesome feature.

 

yes i agree with you on that last part. i wonder why they dont just develop a more indepth H-games rather than the usual sim game or the short-story BR2/Yuusha type of thing.

I totally don't get, why they don't make a new part of the Battle Raper series with a less provocative title. 12 chars, strip combat, sexy grappling, different gamemodes and this game would be what every player of soul calibur or dead or alive dreams about! it wouldn't even be forbidden since there is no real rape in it and it isn't even nessecary to have it since hot babes ripping each others dresses off and doing some erotic grappling is awsome enough. one thing more and it would be a game for pervs and the majority wouldn't play it or hide it somewhere when they have visitors.

Yeah, i agrees that this game its pretty boring, specially in th ehistory mode. I played a while with all characters, and its easy to get some disappointed, also the girls are really not very pretty and the final sex escene are censored.

I think that was the original intention behind Yuusha. It's got all the hallmarks of a battle raper game. the trouble is that the Rapelay furore broke out just as they were on the run up to release with Yuusha. Hence the whole lame reverse-rape or consensual-sex-with-your-sister thing. (It didn't help that you could clear the game in a couple of hours of play, either).

 

Personally, i still have a soft spot for BR1. The graphics have not aged well, and the special moves are cheesey beyond belief, but I find it enjoyable in the way that really bad 70s exploitation movies are often enjoyable: They're so bad they start being fun again. Also, the gameplay involves both parts of the title: "battle" and "rape".

 

BR2 could have been such a fun game, if they only hadn't backed away from the "r" word ...

yeah well the shitstorms that come from exporting those games to the west don't help.

from what i've read the japanese government has attempted to crack down on that sort of thing since it makes japan look bad to the rest of the world.

considering that most people in japan find H games creepy anyway makes the companies that make such games consider it less and less profitable, even in japan.

 

i figure that is mostly why battle raper 2 wasn't as full of rape as 1, illusion no doubt looked at sales and figured toning it down might help.

 

though honestly, how many sales could you get for a game called "battle raper" no matter how little rape is in the game?

 

of course it could be that the lolicons just outnumber the other perverts in japan?

looked like a funny beat em up game and I love beat em up games but that game keeps crashing for me
