KazigluBey1431 Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 I'm still confused about the overwrite options with Nexus. If I want to install a clothing conversion of a CBBE mod, for Atomic Beauty, True Wasteland Body, etc., do I overwrite any of the CBBE files when installing the conversions? Or do I keep them completely separate? I know that the conversion mods rely on files from the CBBE original in order to work. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you have clothes for Atomic Beauty or Fusion Girl, yes, you will overwrite the CBBE version by default. Many times, conversions are just Bodyslide files. Deleting the CBBE version gets rid of any meshes, materials & textures it may have. Simply overwrite the CBBE version for best results.
KazigluBey1431 Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Ok cool. So if I want to go back to the CBBE version then I just need to reinstall it to restore the original files?

Dont know about NMM, but newest managers like vortex can show what files I replaced (from cbbe in you case) and also will return cbbe files after you will uninstall mods that replace cbbe files
kharneth1 Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Yes, as Indarello said modern managers deals better with this. This is by far the big caveat of NMM First , i suggest you change to either vortex or mod organizer, you thank it in the long time. If you still want to stick with NMM, the correct procedure is: 1º Install the original mod 2º Install the conversion, overwrite any files of the original mod when prompted ("yes to mod" option) 3º Rebuild in bodyslide with the new sliders installed by the conversion To uninstall: 1º Remove the conversion 2º Remove the original mod, you need to do this even if you don't overwrite archives when installed the conversion, as you have overwrite it when build it in bodyslide 3º Reinstall the original mod 4º Rebuild in bodyslide with the original mod files
KazigluBey1431 Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Thanks to both of you! I used MO2 for Skyrim, but had not played that game in a couple years before picking up Fallout 4. I'm using NMM because for what I've been doing it's been pretty straightforward and I haven't had any issues in game. I'll need to read up on MO2 again so that I can remember how everything works. The biggest issue I had with MO2 was remembering in what order the clothing mods had to be in so they would work correctly in Bodyslide.
kharneth1 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Easyest way for this in MO, creat an empty mod in MO (righ click in left panel, create empty mod) name it whatever for easy recognition (I call mine bodyslide outpout) an put it at the end of the load order (last position in left panel) Open bodyslide through MO, go to settings, advance, output path, whatever you have for your new mod. Like the image. Now, don`t matter were you put the clothes mod, the bodyslide files always load last as long as you have the output mod after all of then
