HanPL Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 he game takes place before the events in the last two Rocksteady titles, and sees Batman coming across many of his nemeses for the first time. The assassin Deathstroke also appears on the back cover. A video featuring creative director Eric Holmes discussing the game is below. A 3DS and Vita version called Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is also in the works from Armature Studio, and will be released alongside the console and PC title. The 2.5-D game is a companion title to Origins, where players can continue the storyline of the console version and discover more details of the Dark Knight’s past. Further details on the 3DS title pulled out of Game Informer have been posted on NeoGAF. Same for Arkham Origins. Batman: Arkham Origins is out October 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360, and PC. A website has opened offering pre-orders and some slim details. A shot of the Wii U boxart is below, and it looks the same for all versions other than the typical logos.
Mailamea Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yep rocksteady will not leave the franchise this easily, i was hoping for a sequel since there are lots of clues in Arkham City for sequel hints.
Veta Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Unfortunately it will suck , I know I say this a lot but it isn't rocksteady that is developing it . From Game Informer Warner Bros. Games Montreal has taken the mantle of the bat from Rocksteady Studios this time around for Batman: Arkham Origins
HanPL Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 Well we will see. I didn't like new Batman (Arkham City ) at all, don't know why but just didn't like it Arkham Asylum was brilliant that's why I pre ordered Arkham city and....had to force myself to play it, and eventually gave up. So new studio...why not.
Veta Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I didn't like new Batman (Arkham City ) at all, You what ?
HanPL Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 Yep didn't like it. I'm achievement whore and still I couldn't force myself to play the game and get achivs and this is very rare thing I think the "open world thing " didn't suit me.
Veta Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 But it's so good ,especially the ending , and it's doesn't force you to do side missions , you can easily go about your business and just finish the main story .I'd fefinitelyrecommend going back and finishing it . But if you don't like it I guess I have to respect your opinion ,
windpl Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 lol Han I didn't liked original one but I mostly enjoined Arkham City. Then if they made catwoman as main character or at least as long campaign as batmans , fuck it I would call it game of the year from where I stand. 8o
HanPL Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 Yea I don't say Arkham City is bad or anything just can't play it for some reason lol. Same with my friend he also loved the Arkham Asylum bought Arkham City...played like 3-5h and removed the game since it lack that "something " to keep playing it. I might give it another try one day
Veta Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Why does batman look so bulky ? also does anyone know what engine it will run on ?
Astaroth-Lite Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Because high-tech billionaire playboy armor and my guess is they're still using Unreal 3. My goodness Deathstroke looks badass.
Vulgaris Magistralis Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Why does batman look so bulky ? also does anyone know what engine it will run on ? Because *goes into a deep voice* He's Batman
windpl Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 xbxo360 - so no engine change Cryengine2 (not sure about that) and frostbite2 do not support wii
Asariphile Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Yep didn't like it. I'm achievement whore and still I couldn't force myself to play the game and get achivs and this is very rare thing I think the "open world thing " didn't suit me. I'm with Han on this one. I didn't hate it... but it was pretty meh compared to the original. Open world with nothing in it. Sure there are a few gang fights here and there and some petty side missions for villain cameos, but they didn't need the sandbox. I feel the sandbox took a lot away from the title. If you just focus on the main quest, Arkham city is pretty sweet. The fights with Clayface and Grundy were especially good, but then you do the stuff involving Bane or Azreal, and it just feels like thrown together fetch quest garbage.
