darkshot64 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 So I'm currently using the Sporty Sex Sweat mod for my character, however I was hoping if there was something a bit more... noticeable or shinier. Other mods changed my character's texture entirely and has some unwanted side effects. Does anybody know of any sweat mods? Like if there is anything I can use in texblend?
MrRedAce Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Are you using an ENB? Having an ENB installed can enhance the shine and glossiness of your character.

Spyder Arachnid Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 The Sporty Sexy Sweat was designed to work with an ENB. From the looks of your screenshot, you don't use one, so you don't see much of an effect from it. Using an ENB will greatly enhance the sweat from the Sporty Sexy Sweat mod. And if you're worried about performance issue with ENBs, I'd suggest using Cinemascope ENB. Been playing around with it mostly and there is barely any performance loss whatsoever. Just make sure to follow the readme to set it up properly. (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15425) Otherwise, there is always GlossTech if you don't want ENB for Sporty Sexy Sweat, but still want a shine. (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5437)

Make sure to get the latest version, its not on the front page. Try page 10.

Not only is the sweat much more visible but my whole world is pretty too. Thanks a lot for that mod, amigo.
Ches Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 While we're on the topic of ENBs, is there any such thing as a good ENB for lower-spec machines? I'd love to use one for the sake of taking higher-quality screenshots, but I can't afford to lose more than maybe five FPS -- I can only barely manage 30fps as is (playing on high settings, resolution 1366x768).

It makes it even that much more awesome. I use the Real version from there. I also adjust my ingame brightness up a few notches first, then use 1 point of sunlight. Then I use the custom presets that he mentions. Photo Shoot and Overall Enhancement. And just for personal taste, I like to use the Pixar one as well. Makes the colors really stand out. It looks even nicer with the Sexy Skyrim mods (Sexy Winterhold, Sexy Whiterun, Sexy Riften, etc etc). While we're on the topic of ENBs, is there any such thing as a good ENB for lower-spec machines? The one I mentioned above in my first post works great for lower-end machines. It literally has barely any FPS loss. Just like I said, make sure to read the readme to get it setup properly.

I play Skyrim on a laptop and get a framerate similar to yours at that resolution and upon installing the ENB my game has become unplayable. I could actually count the frames. Even when I remove the grain and lens effects, it's still unplayable. But of course, everything looks much cooler with the ENB.

You must have an extremely bad laptop that doesn't even meet the requirements of Skyrim if that ENB made your game completely unplayable. Either that, or you installed it wrong. My desktop that I am running at the moment is: Win7 x64 Home Premium Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E5500 @2.80GHZ 2.80GHZ 4GB Ram Nvidia GeForce GT 430 And I am running Skyrim on High settings with that ENB at 1600x900 and it runs smoothly. So unless your laptop is a lot worse than my desktop, you shouldn't have any issues. And if it is lower than mine, than you don't even meet the requirements for Skyrim in the first place so an ENB is the least of your problems.
bjornk Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 My laptop is a Win7 x64 Home Premium, Intel Core2Duo P8800@2.66 GHz, 8GB RAM, and ATI HD4650 with 1GB VRAM. I play at 1024x768 most of the time without any issue. When I installed the ENB package, even the smoke animation on the title screen runs slowly. Maybe that's because its an ATI GPU. How did you install that mod?Edit: Never mind. GT 430 is a much better graphics card than HD4650 which obviously isn't powerful enough to handle ENB. Spyder Arachnid Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I used the Real version and then in options, I took the No Letterbox and No Grain and that was it (SMAA will drop your framerate, so I don't use it). I don't use the Darker Dungeons.esp, but as for Imaginator settings, I used: 1 point of sunlight (in cinemagic settings) pop cap photo shoot (in color schemes) overall enhancement (in color schemes) pixar (in color schemes) (this one is optional cause I like bold colors) And that's it. Then I adjusted my ingame brightness level up two to three notches. And it runs great. No issues or anything.
bjornk Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I installed the mod exactly the same way, except I didn't use the ESPs that come with it. There's however a considerable difference between the specs of our graphics cards. Yours is more up to date and more powerful. Looking at the framerate he gets at that resolution, I doubt Chez's machine is much better than mine, so he'll probably get the same result as me.
slash197 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Going back to sweat mods, you could also try the one from Fair Skin Complexion. http://www.mediafire.com/?zxw0o8531jjh1bc
asguard Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Wow thanks guys never heard of ENB yet, I started using Zoners High Performance ENB http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15551 this is for high end systems if you can't use the Cinemascope mod don't try this one its more system intensive, are there anymore ENBs that go well with the sweat mods?

Actually youre wrong, its a high performance mod, as the name says, which means its barely got any FPS loss, if you do then you put some settings wrong.

Put down the shader quality, put down AA a notch and read about ENB in general, I had similar issues til I read myself into ENB a bit.

I actually played with that ENB a bit last night and my framerate loss wasn't too terrible. I did tone down some of the different view distance settings that weren't of the utmost importance to me before testing it, though. But now I've found that I can get as much as 40fps in some areas, even with the ENB installed. (Though in some places like Eldergleam Sanctuary where the lighting is really heavily emphasized, it can dip down to the teens.) The downside is that the game seems to take significantly longer to load initially, but I think I'm willing to pay that price.

spreeu Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 im using enb but when and i was tryin' to enhance the shine of my npc followers but when i get them somthing like oiled all the things around turn like that i mean the walls the stones the people around ,can anyone help me with that
Guest Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I'm a big fan of bodies with a sheen. Don't know if anybody else has mentioned it, but you can get a great result by modifying the body mesh in Nifskope. I find this along with a decent sweat texture like sporty is far more convincing than stuff like glosstech which makes your toon look like they've been dipped in clear nail varnish:
