Forlaith Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Hello all I have a modding question for yall Ive gotten my mod list pretty much done and wrapped up but I noticed awhile back in making it that Men of Winter NPCs had the dark face bug. Ive tried moving it around in the files side of MO2 to see if if it was an overwrite issue but the only mod in my list that has any overwrites with MoW (Men of Winter) is High poly NPC overhaul (hereby HP for short lol) So I tried moving MoW above and below it to see if it would resolve the issue, I then tried reinstalling MoW still nothing. I also tried just out right deleting and reinstalling HP and they STILL have dark faces. And lastly I did a new save as well cause I read that sometimes Facegen data can be baked in to saves and with MoW delted and removed they still had the bug on a new game. All my other NPC replacers work fine like Bjin with HP it is just the NPCs from MoW. Im not sure what Im doing wrong and its driving me nuts as its the only issue I have with my Game which other then that is running perfect no other CTDs or issue with over 400 in my load order (225 excluding .esl's) Any help would be much appreciated as its making me angry that this is the only issue I have and its such a jarring one at that. For example, if EveryBody's Different.esp (I'm not assuming you use this mod, it's an example that commonly causes gray-faced bugs) made the last change to npcs, you should check two folders: 1. %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom Look for a folder called "EveryBody's Different.esp", if it doesn't exists, you should copy all files from a folder called "Men of Winter.esp" to "EveryBody's Different.esp". If "Men of Winter.esp" folder doesn't exists, you should generate facegeom files in Creation Kit. 2. %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint Do the same. Look for a folder called "EveryBody's Different.esp", if it doesn't exists, you should copy all files from a folder called "Men of Winter.esp" to "EveryBody's Different.esp". If "Men of Winter.esp" folder doesn't exists, you should generate facetint files in Creation Kit. In the CK, select Men of Winter.esp as active file, select Men of Winter's NPCs (Object Window -> Actors -> Actor) and press CTRL+F4 to export files. I hope it works.

Im not sure what Im doing wrong and its driving me nuts as its the only issue I have with my Game which other then that is running perfect no other CTDs or issue with over 400 in my load order (225 excluding .esl's) Any help would be much appreciated as its making me angry that this is the only issue I have and its such a jarring one at that. How many plug-ins do you have there? 4. Probably a good idea if you learn how to use your mod manager properly.
