Which one of these body mods has the most armor and clothes mods made for them?

UNP is a much better base body than CBBE is in my opinion -- base CBBE bodies look a little too plasticy and perfect for my liking, while UNP with its increased detail actually attempts to emulate a more natural human look.  But they both require additional skin texture mods to be used with them before they truly look good.

On the other hand, because CBBE was the first truly attractive body replacer for Skyrim (UNP came a few months later), it seems to have way more support than UNP does.  It's reflected in the popularity of the mods -- CBBE has over 1.75 million downloads on the Nexus while UNP has just over 800,000.  So CBBE gets a bit more clothing and more texture varieties and whatnot than UNP does.

In the end, though, it's entirely up to your own personal taste.  They both get enough support that you wouldn't be going wrong with either one.  And it's not like you're making a permanent decision; you can easily switch over to the other at any time if you so choose.  Honestly, it's probably best to experiment with both, and with additional textures for both, and see which you prefer to begin with.

 Reality is usually pretty boring.

Animate or realistic....gamelife ?

Care too much or careless...lifetime?

Feels like Standing in the middle.Still CBBE ,another life?

Usually CBBE for the majority of modders out there. Reason being is that it's quite suitable for their needs. UNP is a little harder but still for a modder that wants quick and easy, it's a bit of an effort.

Alt Navetsea UNP Seamless for me, installs everything apart from Exeters armor / clothing or beast races, with some very nice improvements over UNP / Navetsea original files.

But whatever UNP you use It has the best support for vanilla armor and clothing, I think ( though I dont understand it ) bodyslider is doing the same for CBBE, but now theres a bodyslider for UNP too http://www.loverslab.com/topic/11468-bodyslide-unp-v035-21-sliders/

So I guess with time and as usual for body mods it just boils down to personal taste. Because eventually they develop all aspects required unless the modder burns out .. then usually someone else takes over and improves things a bit more, or they just add the missing bits in another mod.

Edit: That CNHF is looking good even this early in its development. Needs the neck seam sorted out though.

I tried LB once, too many problems caused by its esp and the cheats the esp enables. Its a shame because LB looks stunning, it should have remained just a body replacer instead of introducing random stuff into the game not associated with a body mod normally.

I find UNP easier to work with when converting armors than CBBE but that may be just me or it's because I rarely work with CBBE.

I may switch to upwhatever to use the dungeon explorer since knofear is being a doosh, but I prefer cbbe. Stuffed Bunny's cb++ with Chronotrigger's vanilla armors and slick ricks tpppppb armors have kept me with cbbe for the time being. When I get time to learn how to make armors in bender for skyrim, I am wondering if I should hold off my work like they do.

Dungeon explorer is way overated IMHO, if it was a mashup and not a full suit it could be great yes.

I have used the UNP body since it's release and find that it works well with most animations.  However I really admire the work that has gone into CBBE and all its variants and cannot understand why some people are so critical of it.  With a couple of exceptions I think that all the different bodies have excellent features.

I am saddened that some modders don't wish to convert their work to other bodies, however I do feel that some of the comments from "users" are too demanding and strident which hardens the resolve of the modders concerned.

There are two different camps. Both have good points. Both have fanatics that make themselves look bad and come off elitist.

CBBE is has always been a step ahead of UNP, but the base premise for CBBE scares some people away. Even with body slide, CBBE cant match at the lower weight scale of UNP for realism, it is just built into the mesh IMO... UNP will never match the customizability that CBBE has, even with bodyslide since its armors aren't designed for it.

They just fill different niches, and trying to say one is better than other just makes yourself look foolish.

I like oranges over apples, that doesn't mean anyone who likes apples is stupid and wrong... It's just personal taste.

Skyrim modding has an unusually high popularity of indecipherable strings of letters for mod names, and some of these are tough to search. Googling "UNPC" gets results about things that are not politically correct (un-PC), which is amusingly ironic and appropriate, though not what I was looking for. laugh.png

Consider this mod I tried:

CHSBHC-BBP BPMV2

This could simply be called "CherryHotaling's body." This name is even the same length as the acronym. I gotta guess the author gave it a crazy acronym to be amusing, but crazy mod names and acronyms can be very difficult for newcomers to make sense of.

Most skyrim mods are named well - Sex Addict, SkyUI, Apachii Hair, and so on. Those are good names that hint at their purpose. It seems like body mods are more likely to use ambiguous acronyms. This can't be changed after names get established, but it's something for mod authors to consider for future projects. ;)

CBBE now, but I will be using UPN in my next character.

Which will be my 7th character... Jesus is it really possible to have a skyrim addiction? Skyrim seems to be harder to get over than meth and heroin.

Never do meth or heroin, kids. It's bad stuff.

I've used both, and then some. They all have their advantages and whatnot, IMO. CBBE felt too round, LB made me feel like my brain was too big (I just wanted more options) The A frame was UNP was a little too exaggerated. So ATM I'm using UNP Bodyslide. But I've basicly made the default UNPB body, with UNP breasts, with slightly thinner shoulders and hips.

I don't have a favorite body, and I find that I switch between the two from time to time. I do however often prefer the armor and clothing mods that are made for UNP. You can see a distinct difference between what is usually made for CBBE, and what is usually made for UNP. So I've been with UNP for the majority of my play throughs.

Its kind of sad that this is even a debate when diversity is a good thing. Most of the problem stems from the slight or completely different uv maps of the bodies. Which leads to people having to pick and chose based on which armors they like. The CK actual gives you tools to deal with the issues but they introduce the need to have a separate instance of the armor for each beast race. Here is an example of about a 2 min esp edit most of which was waiting on the CK to load the files. There is some neck seam but that beats miss placed nipples, abstract skin, or not using the armor at all in my book. Oh and the odd color feet on the LB armor must be an issue with the nif settings as I said this was just a quick edit.

I use UNP or UNBP for the player personally and swap depending on the female character.

I also use CBBE on selective NPCs and swap their equipment to their new body type, most of the fighters guild's women use CBBE in my game, especially Nords!

Lastly I have tried using UNPetite for the few teens in the game, such as <Forgot her name> the Younger.

All the body mods fit perfectly when used on the right characters. I have even considered trying to fit in LB in there.

Anyways, fighting over what's better seems silly to me, why not use them all? Just takes some time setting up replica custom races with their bodies linked to a different location, and then assigning them appropriate armor. (You also have to convert some esp to esm so your mod can link to the right armor you assign them in the CK.)
