InsolentTedium Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Hi, quick summary, I was running Immersive Citizens in my last game, but I threw a fit at Vortex and chose to return to NMM, so cleaned everything out...Game Files, all saves everywhere, tracked down every Vortex location, deleting EVERYTHING in its wake and all Mods, uninstalled Skyrim from Steam, then reinstalled, rebuilt my game via NMM, expecting a clean slate, then went in Game. Though I did not reinstall Immersive Citizens (somewhere I read bad things about it having scripting issues), but in Game I am seeing signs of Immersive Citizens via NPC behaviour. I checked out Savegame Script Scalpel, from my very limited understanding, the description page seems to be saying these Orphan Scripts shouldn't be a problem, am I reading that right? Or do I have a problem?
anjenthedog Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 afaik, the solution is to open the game open the current save create a new save close the game clean the new save using fallrim tools open the game open the cleaned save The first part establishes a new save, which (figuratively) knows something has been removed... the original save had no idea you'd removed any mods) The second part purges the now identified obsolete data from the save file, so when you load the game (and *that save), it no longer has any effect.
