Mookeylama Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 i guess there's Moonlight Tales Overhaul, that's the 1st mod. then Essentials, and latest being Special Edition, i think that's how it goes. what mod do ya folks recommend for werewolves? thanks
travelmedic Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I may be a little off in my recollection since I haven't played Skyrim in a while, but... Also, I play Legacy, not SE, don't know what version you're on. I've tried both the full regular version of Moonlight Tales and Moonlight Tales Essentials. In the end I think I stuck with the Essentials version, and paired it with a couple of SL werewolf mods. The main features I ended up really wanting/liking were the ability to change form on command (being able to turn into a werewolf more than once per day and then revert form to human) and the ability to activate simple objects, such as open doors. I didn't really care about a lot of the extra stuff in the full Moonlight Tales, such as the random werewolf hunter attacks and stuff like that. The extra skins available in MTE were nice, but I don't remember if they worked with the SL werewolf stuff or not. One feature I'd like in werewolf mods is the ability to transform multiple followers into werewolves. Some of the werewolf mods will let you turn one follower with varying degrees of success (one mod I tried made the follower a werewolf, but the follower turned invisible, so what was the point?). They're all constrained by the vanilla follower restriction of only 1 follower at a time. Nethers Follower Framework does have a very reliable system to turn multiple followers into werewolves at once, and has a lot of other really good features. For me it's a toss-up between Nethers FF and Extensible FF because while Nethers lets you have werewolves, I like the follower inventory system of EFF better. Having said all that, I think the next time I play Skyrim I'm going to try Growl by EnaiSaion instead of MTE.
