My beloved oblivion is unplayable and i really need help :(

Hi,

 

Well i seriously in need of help! i have downloaded a mod which improve texture and give new lightning, shadder and etc effects to the game ( http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43424/ ) but now everything is fine at first but if i play outdoors or in busy places like inside cities after around 10 step movements i will hear a "DING" sound (the error sound) and textures will start to show yellow signs and purples all around!

this wont happend in places like testing hall grounds

 

I did even disable the mod and removed all effects but the problem still exist!!

This problem is making my beloved game unplayable and i have to many mods installed to get ride of everything! can someone tell me where is this problem coming from and how to fix it???

 

EDIT: ok after alot of tests i found out that its the old problem, somehow because of all those new texture shader thingies in my game folder the game feels more heavy now! and it will only works if i disable ALOT of mods... :/

i dont have alot of mods enabled and i did play with nor problem at all before downloading all this graphical enchantments, but now even if i disable them the game still is unplayable until i disable a huge number of mods! and its not a specific mod since i did try all options! its just alot of mods need to be disabled

 

can someone please point me how to fix such problem? is there any patch or something that help the game engine handle this situation? :/

Are you using OBGEv3? I have had graphical troubles with that but going back to v2 has solved my issues. That could be the source of your issues. I hope? :)

for some reason OBGEv2 make my game crash :/

i have all that requested and exist in the LINK i did send, i found a way to minimum the crashes which is merging all the ESPs, isnt there anyway to fix this problem? like somehow increasing the ram usage of the game or something else? :/

As slammer64 is trying to point out we can't really begin to help you unless you post your load order as well as what version of utilities you are using (OBSE version and so on).

 

Additionally you should also tell us what where you have the game installed (hopefully not in the program files directory).

 

By the way, the "ding" sound is coming from an OBSE utility called Windom Earle's Oblivion crash prevention system.  This utility just warns you that a CTD was prevented.  If you get frequent dings then you need to get out Wrye and Tes4edit and figure out what is causing the problems.

here my load order, no i dont use wrye bash but i did merg alot of ESPs! i told u what is the problem i just dont know how to help it! the game cant handle tomany ESPs/Mods and it will start to stop loading textures and game commands which will result in crashes! as i said so far i did manage to fix the problem by merging alot of ESPs but i guess it wont stop all crashes! 

is there any other way to fix this??

 

the game is in E:\oblivion and all my utilities are latest version since i always update them!

You really need to install and get Wrye Bash running, I can't tell offhand exactly what's wrong, but my suspicions lie with that armor and weapons pack.esp at the TOP of your load order. Most merged patches that I know of should go at the BOTTOM of your load order. Have you used BOSS to sort the order?

Wrye Bash: What does Wrye Bash do?
It makes it safe to try out new mods because it will restore everything to the way it was when you uninstall a mod
It makes more mods compatible with each other by importing information from different mods into a "bashed patch"
It allows you to exceed the 255 mod threshold by automatically merging mods for you. It can be found here: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22368

Are you running any external AA shader\injector\whatever?

If you are, try disabling it; external AA (usually) does not play well with OBGEv3, from my experience.

Sooooo there is a 255 mod limit eh? no wonderrr.....

There is a super-secret second limit! The number of total files in the 'Data' folder must not exceed 400.

 

Esps ghosted in Bash (move them to an external folder with WB's 'Hide' function instead) or obsolete and forgotten BSAs from uninstalled mods count towards this limit and are prime candidates for clean-up.

YES! thanx alot my pal! as always u helped me ALOT! it was the correct answer! after i did manage the ESPs and reduced their number under 400 everything works flawless now!!

Well, actually the credit should go to Nephenee13 as I've read about this 400 file limit first in the Nesux comment section for a patch Nephenee made.

Not sure which one, I think it was the 'MTC Expanded Villages/Shezrie's Towns Patch' (?).

 

I might have expressed it in an unclear way - what I meant with the mysterious 'special folder' to move ghosted esps to is Wrye Bash's very own 'Hidden' directory. It's done by right-clicking on a deactivated esp and selecting 'Hide' from the appearing context menu. To reactivate the file you need to right-click on the 'File' column's header bar (in the 'Mods' tab) and select 'Unhide'.
