Help with Default Outfits

You mean the situational outfits (like those that Sims wear when going to a festival)?

The easiest way to get rid of them would be MC Command Center (at least to my knowledge). With that mod installed, click on any computer in-game and select the MCCC option to bring up the global settings. There, navigate to the Dresser module and find the option regarding situational outfits (third item from the bottom). You will now be presented with a list of different situations like dates, festivals and so forth. Clicking on one of them brings up a list of outfit categories, which allows you to set the type of outfit Sims should wear (e.g. swimwear to a date). That way, your Sims will only wear an outfit that has been designed for them in CAS (played Sims) or generated by the game (NPCs).
