I never had a problem with this until After I bought and installed the Dragonborn DLC now Dragons like the title says won't disintegrate and give their Souls. I first noticed it when I started a new game and the Dragon from the Dragon Rising quest just laid there after it died, I at first thought it might be a bug from the new version of the live another life mod but it did it without the mod active as well. I had to use the console to progress the quest.

I had to use the console to progress the quest. Got the Unofficial Dragonborn patch? I had the same issue when I first got Dragonborn, the patch fixed it.
myuhinny Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I'm trying to remember if that is part of the dragonborn dlc or not o if it is a bug. Are you using USKP? It has been confirmed that USKP can cause this. The issue with dragon souls not being absorbed it due to a script that is edited by the USKP - this edit is reverted in the UDBP. Those that don't use the unofficial patches don't have this problem. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Dragonborn_talk:Dragonborn When I went through the dlc when it first came out I did it on a clean install with no other mods other then a few outfits and the skimpy dragonborn armor mod to prevent any such problems with conflicts from mods. Only problem I had was the levitate pad in the mages tower in the dragonborn dlc would make my player freeze so I had to resort to the tcl console command to get to the top and only had 1 ctd during the whole quest.

cornbreadtm Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 If you have any mods that effect the dragon death script you get this problem. You can just plug your problem into google and get all of the conflicting mods. DSAMG - Dragon soul absorb more glorious, this is the most common offender. Not having the dragonborn unofficial patch is another. Never delete USKP though, since that's the fastest way the destroy your save. Edit: Once you fix the problem you will have to resurrect the dragon and kill it again, if you killed it on your save.
myuhinny Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I have never used any unofficial patches ever for skyrim. When the dlc was about to come out I did a complete wipe of everything then re-installed when the dragonborn came out. Had no problems other then the 1 ctd and the transporter thing.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted March 30, 2013 Author Posted March 30, 2013 Taking out USKP fixes it. Glad I decided to do a new game for playing the DLC didn't take long to get back to where I was especially with the live another life mod.
