SL Animations Stopped Playing

I've been playing a game with no real issues for a number of hours. Now, however, I whole bunch of sex lab animations fail to play.

 

It happens like this: I trigger a sexlab animation (through SLEN, through Sex Lab Solutions, or through Devious Followers Continued - asking to be spanked). The characters get undressed, I get a "sex experience added" message as usual. Then I get the "Playing Animation:   " field, but instead of an animation being listed I get a blank space. Then the actors redress, and whatever was supposed to happen from the sex doesn't (i.e if I'm using Sex Lab Solutions to advance a quest, then the quest doesn't advance and I can have the same conversation again - leading to more animation less SL scenes). For some reason, about one out of four times I get the ZapBoobJob animation (or something like that), even when it's supposed to be a spanking scene.

 

Does anyone have any insight on what the cause could be, or steps I could take to fix it? Should I reimport/ reregister the various SL Animations for example?

 

I appreciate any help.

Yeah, I just tried that. It doesn't do anything - and I noticed another detail. This time, it does in fact quickly list an animation by name, but then instead of playing the animation it switches to showing nothing for the animation name and the sex scene ends with no animation. It's really weird, especially since the playthrough was gong fine. The only thing that had recently changed was that I added a patch to reposition the tongues supplied by SL Survival.

I figured out what seems to be causing it. My character is wearing a rope and wood gag - equipped via submissive Lola. When I take it off, animations play normally.

 

Not sure if it's specific to this one gag, specific to Submissive Lola, or something else - but at least it's a clue.

 

EDIT: I've tested it with seven or eight of the gags available in Submissive Lola, and they're all causing the same issue. Once I switch to a gag from DD, the issue disappears.

Probably these two mods don't get along very well .

SL will block some animations if the D.D. you are wearing should prohibit that animation. Sometimes, it doesn't and sometimes it will. It's kinda hit or miss, but an intentional function.

This problem was with non-DD devices - more specifically the "light" devices that were packaged with Submissive Lola. DD devices work fine. In this case it might be (and this is pure speculation here) that the SubLola devices blocked animations but failed to pick and alternative one, where the DD devices provided an appropriate alternative?

OH! Submissive Lola stuff. Yeah, I don't think that Submissive Lola (I mistook for SL = SexLab), has the same scripting as DD for blocking inappropriate Anims.
