gregaaz Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hi folks, I have a few quest mods in my load order right now that start immediately on game launch. However, I would like to delay their kickoff. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or other guide to setting start conditions for a quest? I'm pretty comfortable working with xEdit for conflict resolution, but I don't have a lot of experience with editing quest conditions. Thanks in advance!

Can't you just disable the plugin until your ready to start the quest?
ChrisHPZ Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Check out two mods. They're called Timing Is Everything and The Choice Is Yours. I believe both mods are available for Legendary and Special Edition. Both are on Nexus, hope this helps

I'm looking at delaying modded questions, for example "Away, Come Away", "Blackreach Railway", and "Rigmor of Bruma", the former two which start as soon as you load the game and the latter which sets up an encounter zone that fires as soon as you get close enough to it. I'd like to put start conditions on these, but I don't have the CK / xEdit expertise with quests to do it without some help.

So below is a screenshot of what's worked for me in the past. You'll have to find the actual quests in the Creation Kit though, that might prove to be tricky.

gregaaz Posted November 9, 2020 Author Posted November 9, 2020 Excellent, thank you both for the advice! I will start experimenting with this and see if I can get the results I'm looking for
Glanzer Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 In xedit, would adding a condition like the one in the screenshot work for the startup stage?
