Butlers for Laundry or Eco

I bought Vintage Glamour (woohoo, etc) and wonder if Butlers are useful for gassing up the eco generators and doing the Laundry?

Or are they mostly for effect.

I haven't actually *hired* one yet, It's not an option on the phone (that I could see) but that's a minor detail I'll figure out.

My bottom-line question is, are they useful (for laundry +anything eco-related) or should I pass on getting a butler?

Butlers usually only do cleaning and other waiter type services, if your lucky that is.

Just random service sims generated that usually don't have the right skills or traits for the job anyway.

But nothing wrong with trying them out to see what they do, or don't do, because you can always just fire them.

I didn't like Butlers myself anyway because WW blocks them from using autonomous sex.

The other services listed below work fine for WW auto sex though.

 

I recently found a mod by LittleMsSam Live in Services where you can hire a live in Maid, Nanny, or Gardener.

They become somewhat like a NPC Roommate.

My Gardener came with all the wrong traits, skills, and aspiration so I had to change them to Neat, Cheerful, and Loves Outdoors, plus Freelance Botanist.

Plus added to her max skills for gardening, cooking, handiness, wellness, etc.

(She was also a random ugly sim so I had to edit her in CAS first too)

 

But she works quite well and fixes the TV and other things that break along with gardening and cleaning chores.

The rest of the time she does all the other normal sims household activities and makes a good fuck buddy too.

Finally had to shift+click Wicked 'disable for autonomous sex' because she wouldn't leave my sim alone.

When my sim leaves to go on vacations or visiting she leaves and sometimes will show up later at public venues where my sim is. 

 

(Maybe by just giving them the right traits and skills they would do other things too but haven't tried any ECO or Laundry chores with her yet.)

(Just have to experiment with different ideas that might work for what you want them to do)

 

Another mod I use called Control Any Sim you can actually take control of NPC's and make them do most anything.

They show up in your active family until you click on them and Select: Action/Don't Control Sim.

But if they leave you will have them still showing on your active family panel as 'away', but can't control them anymore.

Just open your relationship panel on the right and find that sim an click on the portrait and select 'Action' 'Don't Control Sim'.
