Bugged waist in Body Slider

For some reason, this line in the waist of all female characters appeared today after installing mods. The first attached pic shows the mods that I installed today (the one below cbbe smp was installed yesterday), as this issue wasn't present prior to my modding additions this night. The mods.txt file is my current modlist, just in case anyone needs it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling CBBE and 3BBB to see if that would fix anything, but it did not. The bottom two pics show, in order, the way the bug looks in the bodyslide preview, and in game, respectively.

 

I tried to look for solutions online, but none helped. They either were along the lines of "I figured it out, but thanks" (without an attached explanation...), linked to stuff that was a couple years out of date (mostly along the lines of, "update to the newest version idiot," but the linked version is from 2018), or something that was way over-complicated or not really related to the issue.

That looks like UNP textures on a CBBE body. Do you use any special texture mods other than your body mods?

The only texture mod I use that I use that I think could possibly have an impact here is SMIM. I installed Yiffy Age of Skyrim yesterday, and this didn't happen when I played with it a couple hours after installing everything (even batching the stuff).

 

Today I installed SAM and a Yiffy Age patch for it, and one of the mods I installed was a SAM high poly conversion that might have interacted in some way? Not sure how it would though.

 

I do not have UNP installed, I have never used it before, and I don't imagine that either of the mods listed would have somehow involved that.

 

I did uninstall and reinstall SOS quite a few times, but I gave up cause I couldn't get it to work. Perhaps all that stuff might have messed up something? Not sure, seems unlikely.

 

The only thing I can think of that would've caused this is one of the mods I installed today, but I have literally no clue how anything I installed would've impacted the female meshes. Everything I installed today was male related, and the male meshes are working fine despite the female mess-up.

 

I installed the mod "all shapes bodygen randomizer," (https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/13578-all-shapes-bodygen-randomizer-plus-enhanced-physics/) which doesn't show up in the modlist for some reason. I don't think that would have caused this bug either. I installed all the mods in the requirements and suggestions section (minus number 5), so I don't imagine it's any of those mods otherwise I'd probably have been linked to a solution already.

I'm personally using UUNP and this is what it looks like when I open the CBBE mesh in BodySlide:

 

The shape looks pretty alike.

 

I'd say have a look at your "Data\Textures\Actors\Character\female" folder. Expecially the femalebody_1.dds file.

You could try to manually overwrite the contents of that folder with the textures that come with CBBE. But be sure to make a backup of it before as manually overwriting files while using a mod manager is usually ill-advised.

Vortex might even notify you that these files changed and which mod they're from at the next deployment. So that could also help to identify the problem.

BHUNP will also do this.  You can also see the effect if you install a UNP/BHUNP/etc bit of garb and don it on a CBBE/CBBE=3BBB/etc character, for instance anything that shows the midsection of the NPC

I've spent another hour doin shit, and here's my post-issue resolution process.

 

So I downloaded cbbe and overwrote the files as suggested (and I did make a backup as well), and that gave me a different issue. The preview would work fine in bodyslide, however in game it was still broken, and in fact *more* broke cuz the entire vaginal area had a missing texture often. So from here I did quite a few things: reinstalled CBBE SMP in place of 3BBB (which gave the error again), spent a while trying the same thing over and over again, and looking at the textures for the khajiit stuff (which I couldn't really do anything with cuz I was confused). From here, I decided to start goin heavy handed.

 

I uninstalled Yiffy Age, and the issue was fixed. I decided to do this cuz the bodies always looked like there were two textures going on; the usual "CBBE stuff," and the textures for the YA stuff (for instance the nipples aren't blatant in CBBEe). You can also clearly see it on the boobs; it kinda has a "split" at the bottom of the boob. So, with shit working again, I decided to try to entirely reinstall all of YA, and see if that would fix stuff, and what do you know! It's fixed now.

 

Retrospectively, I think the main issue may have been that I had CBBE at the bottom of the load order, below all the YA stuff. I think it may have glitched out trying to create the YA bodies before the CBBE stuff was there.
