Help with load order

[reprieval]

i recently got back into oblivion and have a ton of mods from a while back and some wont work anymore and i was wondering if it has to do with my load order?  its quite a mess which is why i dont know were to start.

For "normal " mods you could use NMM it will show you if mod is outdated.

Using latest version of BOSS is also a good way to make sure load order is ok

Definitely use BOSS, as HanPL said, it's a MUST for Oblivion

Also I have just downloaded the OBSE and Pluggy this week so they are up to date as is lovers with pk and the resource pack.

Any tips, hints or ideas would be appreciated. Also if this is the wrong thread than sorry in advance.

And if you don't use my "No MBP BravilUnderground" Version you are missing a lot of MBP Mods/esp's

Apparently the lovers with pk esm. Didn't want to extract with the rest of the files. Thank you now that I know what's going on I can check what else refused to go. I feel like an ass but I think this is what learning feels like ;-) have a good day everybody.

Make sure you are using 7zip to extract the archive files and not WinRAR.

I love 7zip and I always use it. Mainly because it is free, but also because it is great.

You shouldn't rely 100% on BOSS, it has its limits but great for pre-sorting.

If you see glitches while playing try to figure out which mod doesn't work properly and adjust your load order.

 

Example is Better Cities, some other mods overwrite the world space settings and suddenly the towns are empty XD

 

Oh and use Wrye Bash, it can show file conflicts between mods. And if you uninstall one who overwrites the files of another mod BAIN installs the overwritten files of the 1st mod.

Helps a lot with organising Install Order aka "Which textures from which mod do I want ?"

@mystery: thanks for the tip on wrye bash. I used it then used boss and now I don't ctd as soon as I run oblivion, also it fixed a problem I had with HGEC not working or glitching up.
