Sorry I've been inactive,

 

Life kinda hit me with a few more jump scares.

 

I plan on updating tonight. I haven't had a chance to address any bugs, but I plan on updating tonight and making an effort to stay on top of this project. I've been inspired by a lot of outfits in the game and I want to make customized costumes too.

 

Look forward to working with y'all again ^-^

Unfortunately, my patch is currently crashing the game; I think I made the mistake of editing files before the online patcher had a chance to finalize IDs. Oops! At least, I hope that's the problem. I redownloaded my files and I'll have to try again tonight after work.

 

I'll have to double check where the error is occuring, like I said hopefully it's just a skill issue on my part.

Don't worry, and don't put too much pressure on your shoulders, AT mod scenes is sleeping since a while, so you can take your time, especially if irl is not so easy

Alright degenerates, I got good news and bad news! First, the good news.

 

I'm pretty sure I figured out the problem; Lilith updated the Unity version of Action Taimanin. This isn't the first time, and I've literally ported models between Unity versions before. It's not impossible. But that takes me to the bad news.

 

Porting models between versions requires extensive repairs and updates. Basically, I have convert each model by hand again and re-test them all. Hopefully, there aren't any complications from another version transfer, but it takes some work.

 

Unfortunately, due to the scope of this project, I definitely won't have time to push a new patch today, or even tonight for that matter. I think realistically, this is a project I'll have to tackle on my days off coming up since it'll be an afternoon.

 

I've installed all relevant software to get started.

Speaking of outfits,

1- Is there a way to use one of your outfits to replace multiple costumes? Most people probably want more customization rather than less, but if I'm doing a story mission it's a bit weird when one minute the girls are buck naked and the next they're in school uniforms. I'm not asking for this to be a mod, you've got enough work on your plate, just wondering if you've got any tips for not breaking anything if I try to mess with your new mod.

 

2- If you're planning on doing custom outfits more than nude mods in the future, any chance for reverse bunny suits?

I have successfully  repaired a model as a proof of concept!

 

It'll take me a bit, but I think I can have the complete, well eh, most of the mod working again shortly!

I feel like theres gotta be a way to write a software that can just do this without the engine, I mean we have tools that can extract from any asset bundle version I don't see why we cant go both ways with it. Maybe UABEA can do it already tbh. 

 

Aside from that is there anything preventing use of melonloader/bepinex/harmony to do runtime loading?

Hey all, I know this isn't a very exciting post, but I've been working pretty hard to export, edit and import fully custom models.

 

Was about five hours of bullshittery but I got there eventually. Not even sure what exactly I did, but I have a working base now. I'm optimistic about adding custom variations of models to make every outfit unique in some way.

So it sounds like you're more interested in making alternate outfits than undressing the girls right now, but does this breakthrough put you closer to a 'complete' nude mod? Even before the recent update there were a bunch of characters that didn't have mods or who's mods broke years ago, does this make a Su or Rinko nude mod easier?

So I know this "breakthrough" looks off task, but the reason why I'm researching editing models again is because of the recent updates; numerous characters have been added and existing models have been breaking. Ingrid was one of those models, and I'm toying around with my options to repair and expand.

 

Su and Rinko, among others would be much easier. Since you know, I could just make my own version by hand.

Since I'm already stuck repairing a bunch of models by hand, I want to give each outfit a little flair to keep things interesting. Here, I'm working on Ingrid and I'm fitting her starting outfit over a new nude body.

If you've actually found a way to stop models from breaking every few months that's fantastic, I just thought you'd found a way to make mods without needing to base them on aging legacy stuff from moderchan.

In most cases, broken models are the result of changing addresses. This is an easy fix, because all I need to do is ID the correct address and rewrite.

 

In some cases, the model is simply no longer compatible. This happens when models are updated in-game. This is harder to fix, since it typically means rebuilding a model from scratch.

 

Right now, I'm working on models from scratch using Moderchan's work ad a base. I am basically re-rigging existing skeletons with Moderchan meshes and hand sculpting them to match. 

 

I can even make fully custom meshes if I wanted to. I could sculpt anything I want within my skill level; unfortunately, I'm an apprentice level artist at best. I'm still learning retopology, a challenging 3D concept for me.

 

Since there is already a great nude body to work off of, I'm maintaining that one. 

 

I plan on editing existing outfits to add bits and pieces to incorporate more variety and make use of purchasable outfits.

 

Once I get an updated version of the mod, I'm gonna plug my Patreon to hold myself accountable if anyone chooses to support me. To note, I will NEVER charge to download my mods. I don't want another Moderchan situation afterall.

Do what you feel best as there is a handful of people that will say they want this or that but you are the one doing the work and for my individual opinion is greatly appreciated. I seen many modders get burnt by constant selfish requests by single minded people that only want a mod certain way for them. So I say again do what you want as your work is your work, nude, skimpy, remodeled whatever you like. I been following you for long time and been your website many times. I appreciate all you do and I hope you do continue. Thank you again!

 

-- I do agree that the moderchan base model is pretty good so why get into recreating something when its already good to begin with and makes things easier for you.  I dont post much but I been around for long time :)

Happy to report I've figured out how to pretty effectively color match nude skins with the original skin.

 

Additionally, I've figured out a way to improve Moderchan's original texture a tad bit. Should clean up some seams that aren't typically visible, but I notice them and it bothers the hell out of me.

 

Edit: I EVEN FIGURED OUT HOW TO REIMPORT JIGGLE PHYSICS WE SO BACK BABY

We're back bitches!

 

I figured out how to add jiggle physics without breaking the rest of the model. Turns out, I can't be lazy and let Blender weight things automatically; I had to get gud and hand weight paint a few areas. I also figured out how to better color-match skin and improved the original texture somewhat. Not only did I paint away a seam, future models should be easier and quicker to produce new textures for!

 

Currently, I'm working on some finishing touches for weight painting.

A quick little update before I hit the sack,

 

I'm currently repairing Astaroth. Well, sorta -- I'm actually rebuilding her model from scratch, much like Ingrid.

 

But unlike Ingrid, Astaroth has been a bitch and a half to rig. For some reason, Ingrid played pretty nice receiving a new mesh; Astaroth, however, is forcing me to individually reweight every single bone.

 

I'm not super experienced with weight painting, and frankly this is a very ambitious project to weight paint. . . but I'm getting there!

 

I also fixed Asuka's skin (I think?).

 

Currently, my plan is to repair every model that broke from the last few updates and upload the patch with all working and fixed models.

 

After that, I want to nudify the new characters.

 

After that, maybe supporters. Or alternate outfits. I dunno.

Fucking hell, Astaroth was nightmare. But that's another model completely remade from the ground up!

 

That's a W for Astaroth mains!

 

Serious question, does anyone main Astaroth? I've seen limited success with her in the Arena, but she doesn't seem like a blast to play.

 

I still have a teensy tiny bit of seam clean up but she looks **great** in-game, super proud.

 

I've never had the pleasure of reweighting a complete model from scratch.

 

But as a perfectionist, I can't let go of the seams I see. Will definitely have her done tonight though!

 

Hopefully, fixing Emily and Oboro won't be such an uphill battle.

By the time I found this game I'm pretty sure the Ingrid and Astaroth mods were either broken or incomplete, really looking forward to trying them out.

Moderchan usually had 2 or more version of his mods, a full nude one and a half nude one. the half nude one had parts of their original costumes intact. I was mentioning to him before he disappeared if he could make both usable by applying the full nude one to the bathrobe skin instead. Do you think this would be possible?

I haven't tried to "apply" full nude skins to the bathrobe set, but there are a few things to note;

 

Every costume may introduce new skeletons. If that's the case, it's not an easy replacement and could require up to fully reweighting the model (see previous posts about Astaroth).

 

Additionally, I'm a little iffy about "paywalling" full nudity due to exorbitant cost of whatever currency the game uses, i haven't played in a while.

 

I'd probably need to take a poll on that one; I did consider doing skimpy outfits as the default, but then I decided not to so I that could make literally every other outfit in the game skimpy and give players a motivation to "earn" clothes.
