An AAF and xml question.

Anyone figured out how to get AAF to reload its xml files without reloading a save? Stopping and re starting the main quest leads to a very unstable game. I've tried calling some of the AAF loading functions with no real success.

Any pointers? An edited xml file located in MO2's overwrite folder will be picked up fine with a game save reload but I want to hot load the new edit from code. I've tried the fcf and hlp console cmmands and I've tried pushing from the CK.

I am using this and game on SSD, so it takes me ~2,3 sec to reload save each time I edit xml files

Thanks for the reply. I've tried that mod but my FO4 is on a non SSD so it didn't make anything faster. If I ever reinstall FO4 on my SSD I'll give it another try.

I was thinking about ask for feature in AAF to change offsets and morphs during scene, to make it easier and faster to work with my patch for anims, but I already finished fixing all offsets and I dont need it now.

You are also trying to fix positions? Check my patch

Do you think no one is ever going to make any new animations? I mean is your last patch never going to be updated again?

I am trying to fix existing positions yes, I'm also trying to create new animations, sequences and expresssions. I want to be able to see what I'm doing visually while I'm doing it. As it is now its like playing battleship (old child's  board game) when trying to adjust/set up anything in AAF. Every adjustment is a shot in the dark. Add having to break down the board, take your turn, then having to re set up the board, re pick the players and see if you hit anything is a bit frustrating both as a developer and an end user.

I'm fine switching to Notepad++ to edit xml's. Really wish for a reload xml function. It would make writing my own AAF tools a lot easier.

1)if you are trying to fix old positions just check offsets in my patch, if new anims will come this will be my problem that I will solve fast

2)if you are making your anims in 3ds max you wont need offsets if you will use zex rig

I may end up just moving a copy of FO4 to SSD and using Load Accelerator.
